  1. Welcome! Re: your oil leak. Make sure your oil pressure sender is tight. Mine was leaking when I got my truck. It is a 10.00 part to replace, and a is a good place to start your trouble shooting. The sender is located passenger side, beside the oil filter.
  2. I agree with unccpathfinder. Also, the situation with the 95 seems sketchy. I mean, how do YOU know that the motor WORKS? Why is the fan off? Why are the belts off? Maybe this dude broke a T-Belt while driving and that caused him to have an accident and he started the repair before giving up? What I"m trying to get at is this: If you are going to spend the time (of which you don't have much of) make sure the engine works before swapping it in. If he can't start the motor for you, treat it as a non-working motor.... It sure would suck going through the swap only to find out it didn't work for you....
  3. I've used a mister before in decarbonizing my other cars....just haven't gotten around to doing in yet on the 'finder. Basically, I just take out the air filter, rev the motor and mist. Like others say....be very careful not to use too much water, as you may hydro-lock! And that would be bad...

  5. @ tekazgtr1984... Thanks! Glad you enjoy them! I've got a few more tucked away, but no pics until we move... Your rig looks good! Trust you're havin' fun in the Peg this winter!
  6. umm, isn't this bobing (bo-bing) actually bobbing (bob-bing)? Or do we have some American / Canadian spelling goin' on??
  7. I've had a terrible experience with the no fog Fog-X too. My rig fogs up a lot too, so I started using rubber floor mats and dump the snow melt from my boots after every drive in the attempt to keep my carpets dry. - It helps. How are the floorboards under the gas pedal? Since they often rust out there, the carpet underlay could be wet, and when you turn on the heater, and when you are driving, the exhaust could heat up the wet carpets and create steam.
  8. Ye ye, thanks for the props Doughboy! I usually get these as wrecks or in parts and work hard to get them back on the road. Often times, I have to fabricate parts. The engines are usually rebuilt to be quite hi-perf, (unless it is stupidly rare) the electrical, brakes and suspensions are always improved. They keep me out of trouble, and my wife doesn't mind!
  9. A few of my other rides! 1957 Road King with suicide shift 1963 Lambretta 125/185 1958 Silver Pigeon (Running, one of ~ 15 worldwide???) 1959 Lambretta 150/200 1966 Lambretta Special 185

  11. Replace your front (anti) sway bar bushings and endlinks. Replacing mine made a huge difference on the handling when going over bumps and in changing lanes. A kit should cost 25-50 dollars depending on your location.
  12. I have Carello lights on my Lambretta scooters. They can get very pricey! Maybe you can fab up some brackets to support more easily found and cheaper lights. I'm diggin' that grille also! Ebay Italia, here I go!
  13. I'm a tech-ed (shop) teacher for high school. Before teaching, I was trained in Joinery (cabinetmaking) and worked in Vancouver's film industry as a carpenter, building sets. In my spare time, I restore vintage motorscooters from the '50s and '60s. I really like making my old Lambretta (I have several) scooters go fast. Like 75-85 mph fast. I teach woodworking, metal work & fabrication, CAD drafting and CNC machining, small engines, automotive and also electronics. This is my first Pathfinder (and Nissan), but I must say, I'm converted! The 'finder is a brillant machine!
  14. How many miles on your rigs Nismothunder and Mr. Jim?
  15. Arg! I've been lying on the cold, snowy ground for the last 2 hours fighting my end links! Both were totally seized in there, and one of the spacer tubes was split and completely seized to the bolt. I never thought I could use split and seized in the same sentence! Finally got them out, the new end links on, and the bushings in. I'll try to upload photos a little later. Since they're on now, I'll leave them be for the next six months. I'm glad I got this done, and hopefully the snow ruts won't be tossing me all over the highway this winter! Anyway, I'm wondering if I should use copper grease or maybe a bearing grease on the shaft of the bolt so the spacer tube won't seize on? Edit: The ride is waaaayyyyyy better! Totally corrected all the slop I was having at the wheel. Gonna love my 150 km commute to work at 6 am in tomorrow's snowstorm!
  16. I armor-alled the seat on my motorbike once
  17. ye ey! and then some others are yellow.... But, if we are having a convo about Energy Suspension bushings, they come in red or black. Made of poly, and the black ones are graphite impregnated, which help lubricate them over time. True, I'd use grease too on them as I hate squeeks. I got the black ones.
  18. errr, yeah...they poly ones come in red or black. Isn't that what we were jawin' about? The rubber ones come in black only.
  19. When I got my '95 it was leaking from the oil pressure sender. It was like, 10 bucks to replace. Had to use a 1&1/16" socket IIRC. The oil light never came on.
  20. You can also buy them online direct from manufacturer here: http://www.energysuspensionparts.com/categories.asp?cat=Nissan+Trucks FYI these come in Black and Red. The black ones are graphite impregnated, and are self lubricating as a result. The red ones need to be lubricated, and over time, may tend to squeek.

  22. Shipping to Canada is 25.00 I'm trying to find a better price. I'll let everyone know. Edit: Can't get better shipping from either the ebayer or the manufacturer. Oh well, I'll pay more and call it a "performance part"
  23. Great Post! I was wondering if those bushings were the source of my poor handling that I was complaining about. Now I have my next "to do"! Thanks for posting this!!! Where did you get those fancy red bushings from?
