  1. My WD was doing that too. I never open the glass and I guess it had some crap in between the seal. Even though I never open it, it can bounce open a little with hard bumps which I observed the sunroof doing too. I cleaned the rubber seal and rubbed some silicone grease on it and no more leak. James
  2. If the radiator doesn't stay full your cap could be bad. Also make sure the reservoir tank has coolant in it and the hose from the tank to the radiator has no leaks. James
  3. Our gas prices are cheaper than y'alls, the most I put in the pathy so far is $50. Filling my titan sometimes hits $90. I like filling my 109, if its really empty it will take $14. James
  4. The company I used to work for lost there forklift mechanic that way. (He was a professional) He just needed to check something really quick so he didn't use stands. The jack let go while his head was under a tire and squashed it like a grape. He was 21 years old and his wife had just had their first kid three weeks before the accident. I've had a jack let go while I was repositioning it and caught my hand between the bumper and the jack handle, almost took my thumb off. I don't trust jacks! James
  5. I figure that's what it was when I saw the boot torn. You also need to get some jack stands. I guess you never saw a jack fall on anyone, not a pretty site. James
  6. Nissans fuel gages are all screwed up. With my first titan (04) the fuel light came on when it still had 8 gallons left. My second titan (06) the light came on when it had 4 gallons left. The pump and sending unit has been changed twice now because of recalls so now I don't know when it will come on. The sensor for the light is a small check ball at the very bottom of the tank so if your light quit working the sensor is probably corroded from moisture condensation in the tank from running it so low. My pathy doesn't have a light, it has the sub tank gauge but it doesn't work either. One day I will get a chance to fix it but I usually fill up at a quarter anyway. If you want to know how far you can go with the light on, throw a 5 gallon can in the back and drive till it quits. James
  7. I can tell you the quest is non interference because I was a lazy ass and didn't change the belt on my wife's 01 quest until it broke at 118K, no bent valves. James
  8. I have found info stating both interference and non interference. I know the design is the same but the VG33 cams have less lift than the VG30. Lunchindabox, how about just put a new belt on it so we can see? James
  9. From what I've heard the 3.3 are not interference motors. Not unless you put a larger cam. I would put a belt on it first before condemning it. James
  10. The slack in the video is just because the lifters are collapsed. If they were pumped up they would take out the slack. The rockers don't look good but probably don't have as much to do with the noise as the lifters. The rocker pad when new has a slight angle on them so that it rotates the valve a little each time it opens it. This keeps wear on the valve face and seat even. From that last pic you can tell the valve hasn't been rotating so I would say you need new rockers. The toe of the cam has this angle too to keep the lifter rotating also for even wear. The lifters must have collapsed because of the low oil pressure problem you were having and probably galled up inside now. If the bottom of the lifters are concaved you need a new cam also. Now is a good time for Jim Wolf cams, just make sure you are getting oil to the heads. James
  11. Take apart your old pump and post some pictures of the wear. Might save someone else from using a pump that too far gone. James
  12. If y'all are interested in a company making a system try JBA. JBA The JBA cat back for the Titan out performed borla and cost me $365 on a sale, and it is made of stainless. James
  13. Spray some WD40 around where the intake runners meet the head while its running. If you have a leak you will find it. James
  14. yes water will do the same thing just take a little longer. That reminds me, I have a vapor injector that I got back in the 80s. I will have to dig that out and try it on the pathy. James
  15. Looks like you will need longer swing arms now, and longer drive shaft. James
  16. Keith, have you ever tried the seafoam through the PCV valve procedure? This procedure is for cleaning the intake ports of build up. James
  17. Yes I'm sure its the pilot bearing. I have even diagnosed this problem over the phone once. I didn't notice any harder shifting when it was cold but it only got down to 20* this past winter. I have always used mobil one in everything I've had since 87 and never had a problem but what they claim happens here is something in the GL5 oil corrodes the metal that the synchronizers are made of. So I don't think the mileage matters as much as the time it has been in there. I would just change it out now and hope for the best. The lucas should help the synchros work better. Back when I was going to trade school my old instructor told be they would put STP engine oil treatment in manual gear boxes to help the synchros. The lucas should help in the same way. James
  18. You might try changing your filter before running it anymore. They are cheap and it cant hurt. I had a cheap walmart brand filter do this to me on a ford. I was a poor teenager and put a engine together from used parts. It ran great but the oil pressure (manual gauge mounted inside the car) would shoot up when I would start it and then slowly drop off to nothing. To get it back home from the first test drive I had to keep shutting it off and restarting it then run till the pressure dropped again. Eventually the lifters started ticking too. I went through all the trouble of pulling the motor half way out to change the oil pump and got the same problem with the new pump. Just on a wild thought I changed the oil and filter and the pressure problem was gone. Talk about wanting to kick my own ass for buying a cheap filter and not trying changing it first. I could have saved the $50 I spent on a high volume pump. James
  19. I put the lucas additive in my 5 speed with amsoil and everything is ok so far. I see where your going with the pilot bearing dragging and causing you shift problems but I think it would have to be galling very bad to cause that. My pilot bearing makes noise when the engine is cold and I let up the clutch but it doesn't cause any shifting issues. James
  20. Sounds to me like your oil filter is plugged. Try changing the filter and check it again. James
  21. Did you recently lift the rear? If so you may need a panhard drop bracket. The panhard rod should be level, if it's not it will pull the body to the side when the suspension moves up and down. James
  22. I never had the rear do this but my front wipers did. The problem was cracked solder joints in the little box that is mounted on the wiper motor. I took it apart and resoldered the bad connections and now the intermittent setting works again also. Check the wiring diagram to see if the rear wiper has one of these boxes, I think its called an amplifier? James
