  1. sounds about right for the time it takes to change them. I believe the reason why the dealerships dont sell the bushings is its too much of a PIA for their techs to change, and its too expensive for the customer. So for them they figure that they will start selling only the arms and people would be more willing to have them change the arms (cheaper) than the bushings.
  2. i would look in to an aftermarket muffler like flowmaster or manaflow and get rid if the resonator
  3. first i would make sure that they are 6x5.5 lug pattern, and yes the less backspacing you have the more the wheel will stick out. When i went with new wheels i went with 4" BS. As you can see with 4" BS they do stick out a ways and with 3.75" BS they will stick out even further.
  4. check out Jim Wolfe for his pop chargers, or 4x4parts.com as they have some on their site as well
  5. It is 4wheelparts though i wouldnt put it past them to charge a butt load on shipping
  6. not quite sure what you mean. The new links that I used were the right length, but not offset like the stock ones, so they did their job a little but not as much as they would have if they had been offest. The only reason for me doing this was i was too lazy to take the bar itself all the way off and it was driving me crazy when ever i would hit a bump it would rattle on the CV's. Here are some pics of what it looked like, you can kinda see where the top mount wasnt flush with the strut. If you are thinking about taking them all the way off you will have more body roll when cornering but nothing that cant be learned to deal with.
  7. well you could just take them off all together, or when I did my lift i went to a local 4x4 shop and ended up using front links from a Jeep XJ I believe, they are the correct length for a lift but they are not offset.
  8. here you go mike, check out these guys http://www.performancewheel.com/spacers.cf...ry=6&gacid=
  9. Well I can see that this thread has totally lost all meaning, and has gone where I didnt want it to go. Mods please feel free to lock or delete this thread.
  10. Exactly, yes I dont have 1-tons under my ride, but you know what I dont want or need them, and I think if you were to ask your self missy, you dont need them either. If I recall correctly this all started as whos got a bigger d!ck contest between your friends and you. I take pride in my new pathy and I took pride in my old pathy. When I look at the "work" that youve done to yours I dont see to much pride, all I see is "Ohh chit look what I can waste my money on, and have the bigger d!ck" ohh I meant truck. Id like to see what kind of MPG you get out of yours, missy. I currently get 20 city 22 highway, I have more power than you do and you know what when it comes time to sell mine If i ever choose to do so, I will get more out of mine than you will, granted it is newer. Have you ever thought about who would buy yours, or how long its going to last in its current condition? Ohh well I guess I can chalk it up to you being young and not realizing yet that nobody really cares what you drive, what size your axles are, what size your tires are, what can I do next to blow hard earned money on something that I really dont need and if they do thats not the kind of person that I personlly would want to hang out with.
  11. I have USAA, and they are awesome, and extremly cheap. Me and the wife pay around 700 for 6 months for full coverage on our 04 pathy and 03 subaru, 40k in renters insurance, and a 50k life ins policy for her. The only problem with them is that they are only for members of the armed services and family. So if one of you parents was on USAA then you can be grandfatherde in.
  12. Looks good Mike, I really like those wheels. Glad you got the roof rack in one peice.
  13. As some of you know I totalled my old Pathfinder about 5 months ago when I hit a patch of ice on my way to work. This brings tear to my eyes when I think about how much time, blood, sweat, and money I put in to her to make her look like this Now she looks like this But I guess that its not all in vein, I can take a little comfort in knowing that she will help other pathfinders live on.
  14. Well with the AC lift its avertised as 2" but when I put mine on it was closer to 3" and when it settled it was about 2.5" I would like really long about trying to go over that as any longer and you can put extra stress on your CV's and can cause premature failure. And as ZB said there are not kits that will allow you over 2.5" with out the use of custom spacers.
  15. yup there is http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=12828 as two your second question i have no idea, sorry
  16. I believe that there is a how to in the How to section in the garage that has all the step for the timing belt replacement
  17. Slick can you see if he'd be willing to make bumpers for R50's as well?
  18. thanks for the suggestion, that was the first place i looked but it has no instructions as how to remove the arms or the cowl cover
  19. Do you know under what section it would be in the FSM?
  20. Duh, i should have know to check that. Well I go the cap off and the bolt off but no-go on the arm. Any ideas? And then once i get the arm off any ideas bout how to get the cowl grille off?
  21. Yes there is a warranty that we purchased, but it has a $100 deductable and Im pretty sure that I can fix it my self for cheaper than that, and currently im about 150-200 miles from the closet Nissan Dealer.
  22. try using a breaker/cheater bar, and PBlast them for a while before trying to remove them, if that doesnt work then your gonna have to grind/cut them out. as for the bolt in your pic you will have to compress the spring, remove the retaining nut and then but the longer bolts in to the mount. Isnt lifting these fun?
  23. So I have decided that I have a leak in the sealant around my Windshield. Everytime I get up to highway speeds or close to it it starts to drive me crazy. When I went looking for the leak I found that the plastic peice under the wiper that covers the cowl had started to warp or has been permanetly warped. I took to black RTV to try and fill the gap between the plastic and the cowl and it helped a little but its still not fixed. So im guessing that the leak is in the seal around the windshield and under the plastic cowl cover. What I need to know is how to remove the wiper arms and how to get the plastic cowl cover off so I can look at the seal around the windshield and try and fill any gaps that may be there. No it isnt the orignal windshield and no I dont know who replaced it. I have looked through the FSM and theres no instruction on how to remove the arms or the plastic cowl cover. It was like this when my wife bought it woth out me seeing it. If I had been part of the purchasing I would have had the dealer take care of it then. I dont think it makes any difference but I have an 04 R50.
