  1. my wife calls it my other wife, but i call it N-PORA
  2. Now I want to see some pics as seeing how indirectly I helped get your ride in the current condition that its in
  3. In my experience with both the VQ wins hands down. More power, more torque, can actually pass on the highway and on mountian highways, and better MPG.
  4. well if you have some basic mechanical knowlegde you can do the struts your self and save on the labor, but I would recommond getting it realigned if you do it your self. Also as stated before your wheels may be out of round and that may be causing the problem.
  5. Mine as well, its right next to the gas fueler door release, on the drivers side door under the armrest
  6. AS others have stated they wont fit, I have the same wheels and tried to put the hubs on mine it the holes were about 1/4" to small, sorry for the bad news
  7. They seam to be the best bang for the buck. If you compare the Bridgestone Revos and the AT/S the treads are very similar, they have a 50k warranty and the ones im looking at are around 500-600 for the set.
  8. So I have decided on new tires for my ride but Im having troubles deciding on the size. Im going to get Yokohama Geolander AT/S. My size choices are LT245/75/16, P255/70/16 & P265/70/16. Has any one put these sizes on thier 99.5 and up R50. My only concern with these sizes is that the 245/75 is a load class of E and is a 10 ply tire. How will this ride, whill this tire effect my MPG, is this overkill? Will the 265/70 be too big? TIA
  9. you can do more with a locker and good tire placement than you can with extra clearance
  10. ask pezzy she might be able to help you out the shop
  11. that depends on what year your pathy is, what size your wheels are, what style wheels you have, the best thing to do is test fit them
  12. tmorgan might have some schematics that he might be able to send you, look for him.
  13. check out www.4x4parts.com for the AC lift. Yiou will keep the raked look with the lift, if you want to level out the front you will need to get spacers.
  14. Warn hubs will sit the spindle but may not fit stock wheels, if you get aftermarket wheels the hubs should fit.
  15. Year: 1998 XE Lift: 2" AC Wheels: 15x8 ??? 4" BS Tires: 31x10.5x15 Yokohama Geolandars AT+II Notes: Had to trim inner fender on both sides due to rubbing in reverse Year: 2004 SE Lift: None Wheels: Stock 6 spoke 16x7 Tires: 255/65/16 Hankook Dynapro AT (soon to change) Notes: None yet
  16. I like the idea but it may be too hard to accomplish. Reason being that there are to many variables to take in to account. For example: On my old pathy 98 XE when I got it it had 15x7 american racing wheels with im guessing 4.5" BS and 30x9.5x15 BFG AT's anf they fit fine. Once I put my lift on I went up to 15x8 4" BS with 31x10.5x15 Yoko Geolander AY+II and had to trim the inner fender. Where as there is an other memeber on here that had 31x10.5x15 BFG AT's on stock rims no lift and had no problems with rubbing and what not. Even though they were 31x10.5 on his they werent a true 31" and neither were mine but they were closer to a full 31" than his were. As for asking about BS and rim width and what not most tire manafactures have a recommonded width for their tires, granted you do have to use these widths it is reccomonded. BS on the other hand is kind of a personal preferance, how far do you want them to stick out and what out. When talking about wheel spacers IMO I would not use them as they can add unneed stress to the hubs and bearings and add to the upsrung weight of the wheel. If others would like to add what they have used and what has worked and what hasnt I think that this would be a great thread.
  17. Im sure that it has something to do with the fact that we have strut suspension, rack and pinon steering, and a HP diff.
  18. Sorry I was refering to to the diff drop. that wont work but those cv's will
  19. I dont think that those would work. Im not sure why but from what Ive heard the wont work, sorry
  20. is there anyway that you can take a vid clip and post it up, Im also now thinking about this
  21. yup they dont fit, tried a test fit this afternoon and the center bore is about 1/8" too small. DAMN IT. I will post some pics when i get a chance. If it cant convice my wife to let me get the centers bored out or get new rims I will have a set of hubs for sale.
  22. yeah I had geolanders on my old one but they were the AT+II not the AT/S
  23. So im being kinda lazy and was wondering if warn manual hubs will fit on stock 16" rims with out being bored out. Yes I know that I should just go out and take a tire off and check but I really dont feel like doing that and was wondering if someone on here has tried this before.
