  1. I'm essentially doing the exact same thing to my truck right now. How have those ZJ springs worked out? What are the specs on those? How long are they under compression at that ride height?
  2. So as I'm going about my SAS im also looking at moving the rear axle back about 2" to fit 37" tires, i was wondering if I could get away with using a spacer for the drive shaft so that i dont have get a new one. Am I out to lunch or is this an ok idea? Thoughts anyone?
  3. The 4.9s out of a xterra are a bolt in? They fit an h233b
  4. HAHA i adjust my ride height with my fist to measure the gap between the tire and fender, but those days are gone SAS time.
  5. Im looking to get up to 35" tires, so the lower gears would be better, where would a 5.13 come from that is a match for the h233b?
  6. Ok i need like 8 joints for my SAS project and my last project i used johnny joints, which have done me just fine, but are expensive. A cheeper alternative might be these Creeper joints from Trail Gear. Has anyone used these? Good, bad, the same as johnny joints?TRAIL GEAR
  7. Does anyone know where to get some 4.36 gears to match the h233b rear axle ratio? Is it possible to safely use a slightly higher gear ratio for the front axle within 5%?
  8. Or get after market UCA's, got a set of calmini's for sale right now for $100, im doing a SAS so i wont need em anymore.
  9. Yeah i have had to deal with all of those problems, which is one of the reasons i want to do a body lift. Thanks for the info guys.
  10. I have decided to do a SAS on my pathy finally and i want to throw in a Body Lift as well. I see kits advertised for 86-90 and 90-95. what is the difference in these kits if the years over lap, are all BL's compatible from 86-95 or not?
  11. I got one lug missing on both sides in the rear, been that way for a year and no problem.
  12. The warning lights might go away if you reset the ECU. Disconnecting the battery for about 30sec will do it.
  13. I have been busy the last few days so i haven't checked the ECU yet, but this problem occurs on flat ground too but most often and more noticeably on hills. the clutch is only 1.5 years old and i doubt that its slipping. O2 sensor and vacuum lines are also a good idea. That will give me something to tinker with on the weekend.
  14. Ok guys here's a tricky one. In second gear, on a hard acceleration, especial under load like on an incline, the rpm starts to surge at around 3000. The effect is as if i were to be accelerating an then let off the gas and punch it again repeatedly until i hit 6000, about 10 surges on the way up to 6000. I think it might be a fuel issue but im not sure, what is your take on this one? Manual '95
  15. Glad to hear you got your truck back. I have had some poor luck with accidents. None of which were my fault, but i have had three rather severe accidents in two different pathfinders. They repaired the first one $9000 damage and the second accident was a head on that totaled the truck got $12700 for it, the third was only about $1500. Walked away from everyone of these, safe vehicle if you ask me. I'm amazed at what they will fix on these trucks, must really hold their value. P.S. Most of the Pathfinders crumple zones are in the other car
  16. I gave up on my sway bars after both broke the same day. I have a hole in the floor under the rear seats where the thing let loose under compression. I have completely changed the rear end to a triangulated 4 link with no sways or pan hard. The on road handling i find is not anymore unstable than before just more body roll. Its still my daily driver too
  17. I had a very similar problem. My thread It turned out to be the fusible link right at the battery, it has 2 wires in it a black and a green and one of them is necessary to start the engine. I also ran a new cable straight from the alty to the battery, it has solved all of my problems.
  18. I had a problem with the highest speed not working on mine and i successfully disassembled the switch and fixed the contact.
  19. I will second the comment about the warn studs, they blow i have had two break and i replaced them all with grade 8 bolts but make sure to get lock washers for them two i had a problem with them working there way off. I hate the stock auto hubs, i have had two pathfinders and the autos on both would disengage at the most inopportune times and caused a real headache when i actually wanted them to unlock.
  20. I have had two pathys now and the first one was loaded had all the bells and whistles, power windows, power heated mirrors, heated seats, leather, etc. and the one i have now is only missing the leather and the passenger heated seat, mind you the driver side one doesnt work anymore. I think the wiring for the other heated seat is there but there is no button in the console, yours might be there too.
  21. My guess is that your ticking is the lifters. My truck does the exact thing you described and i had a nissan mechanic tell me so and that its nothing serious. He told me that its not a big deal to fix but also not worth bothering with if you can live with the tick.
  22. Are you sponsored? how do you find the time and $$$ for this project. Not that I'm complaining, its awesome; I just can't wrap my head around how much work you must put into this. I only wish i could spend countless more hours building my truck. Hats off to you though buddy, you have secured your position amongst the truck gods lol.
  23. I will donate $10 as soon as i know how to send the money, wish i could give more... kinda broke
  24. The pathfinder already has a poor turning radius, that thing must only be able to drive straight lines. lol
