clear flood mode?
-
Ok, so we pulled plugs. I need new ones, but they are not wet at all (w/ fuel) I also checked pressure again, and I do not have a gage, so I am testing it w/fingers which is not very accurate, but close enough. So I actually am thinking it is the pump. So as I have had a long day, I am pulling the tank tomarrow. (Suckage) and inspecting it. If I am lucky the prescreen is all clogged, and that's the only problem. But rarely am I so lucky. Filthy, thanks for the advice on the relay, but now that I know its starving rather the drowning.... haha.....so I'll let you know what happens.

Ok, so my gas gage doesent work, because the the resistor problem, and till I have time to fix it I have just be relying on the gas light to know when to get gas. Well, today I pushed the limits too far (on the way to get gas) and ran out. So, I get Gas in it and I crank it over, it backfires into the intake, and then it doesent even try to start. So next, I keep turning it over, but nothing. Not even an attempt. I get ahold of Tbecktold, and he helps me from here. We add aprox. 2 more gals of gas, then try and start it. It has fuel Pressure, and it has spark. So i dunno what else it could be. We pulled codes but there were none. So We let it set for awhile, (aprox 3 hours) and we go to start it, it tries for 1/2 sec, then nothing again. So what I am thinking is possibly flooded? I have the factory Shop manual, and I check the Diagnosis area, and it gave me: Clogged fuel filter/line (plunty of pressure and flow) Pressure Regulator Regulator Vacume hose clog Spark Plugs wet w/ fuel Throttle Valve Clogged Ignition Timing But yeah, So i am thinking it's flooded... any thoughts?

Right on man. GOOD LUCK W/ the X... too bad no supercharger... ... but it's still sweet.

I will do some more research and get back to you guys. I will look for some reviews. (multipul mags) not just one. But It's supposed (according to gm) get like 21mpg hwy. So yeah... I look into it.

Sweet X man. But I thought you were going FJ?
-
if you don't mind me asking. What were the stocks in?... or and FLA I'm going to have to check out that issue...

On my first pathy, I modified a Ford Exploder rack to fit mine roof. It worked out pretty good, plus w/ the factory style it puts the weight over the rear axel instead of in the center... but this is just what I did, I have seen many nice setups.

I like Termo Electric fans. No pull off of engine power that way.

Man I am sorry to hear that. Actually my 90 was haveing simular problems, and I removed the aftermarket alarm, (not original) and my problems were solved. Also, I removed the reciever hitch wireing, because they did the worst job installing. But yeah, it cost me nothing but time. Also, a lot of problems you discribed honestly sound like an alternator the is overcharging, which can happen. But yeah, glad it's back on the road, for the manifold problem, thorleys all the way. So nice... I need some for mine.. .... but good luck w/ the machine!!!

Sorry, I was mistaken on the 6L. But I do know that the 5.3 gets better than 15. W/ the cylender shut off tech, that works awsome w/ gas milage.

To be honest I don't mind Avalanches. *ducks* They are an excellent choice for people who live in the city, and don't want to drive a 4door long box truck. The mid gate, I think is quite innovative. If the front looked nicer, I wouldent mind owning one... oh and the 6L engine... welp, i t will kick my pathy's butt in power, and it gets better gas. So yeah, I like it. Like I said, I think they are a great alternative for those who want "SUV" type of passenger room, and power of a full size truck, mixed w/ hualing your crap around in the back. Oh, and the new 5.3 L V8 w/ 320 HP gets 21.3mpg... so yeah. That's way better than me.

My first 90 had no rust, but this on has slight on the drivers rear section of the rocker panel... ez fix, wire brush, rust converter, paint....
-
It's cool, before I fully understood what water lock was, I tried to bump start the old pathy... DUMB IDEA>.... so your not alone.. haha
-
Well, yes, I will agree that it may do better off-road stock, but I just love the looks. Plus, if a Xterra is done right, I am sure it could blow away any FJ... But that could be true w/ any SUV....
-
The 3rd pic looks BEASTY... LOVE IT....!!!
-
Also w/ mine, (I'll try and get pics soon) I had the armrest reapolstered (20 dollars) and used the left overs to make some black flams that go on the door panel surrounding a Nissan logo I pulled off of a newer HB. Looks pretty good, On the drivers side it's going to get the word pathfinder w/ the black flame job... I'll try and get pics soon, camera is broken...
-
I'd take an Xterra over it... no contest.
-
I really like that set up.... .... hmmmm.... makes me think....
-
man power... no jk, Check the fuel filter... there is always starting fluid... but that is really hard on all the sensors in the intake... but if your really deperate to move it that my be your best bet.....or even better a tow truck...
