  1. How hard is it to swap the lsd for an open spider that I could weld?

  4. Here are the totals so far: $899 Wheels/Tires $700 Tranny $200 UCA's/Rear springs $129 T-bars $72 Rear Shocks $70 Oil filter relo. $32 IAB $2102 Only $503 minus tires/wheels and tranny which were not against the original budget!

  6. OK! I have trouble passing up a deal. Even though I know I shouldn't be wasting my money on the IFS, I got a set of AC UCA's and 3" lift springs for $200
  7. I am considering doing this, but I've never been into a chunk before and I have no idea where to get the extra clutches. I read a write up on this, but would like someone elses opinion on how long this may take and the amount of care needed to do so. Where does one find these clutches? TIA

  10. Funny thing, just last night I got my new t-bars in and same thing. The front felt like a log truck, I pulled back into the garage and I had the bumpstops squished to about 1/2 inch thick. I released some tension and whalah rides like a beauty!

  14. I just finished ptting my new ones in tonight and neither the original nor the new had any spline sticking out of the sockets??????
  15. I just finished r&r of an auto if that helps.
  16. It only took about two minutes to get it out of the car. Dropping the old tranny took about 5 days (2-3 hours in the evenings),yet took about 3 hrs to get back in. UPDATE: Took a test drive today everything worked great! Still waiting for springs and wheel/tires. Hopefully she'll be ready for some light trail testing this weekend. UNC you still got that frame?
  17. Yeah I have the camera there and have taken a few pics but I don't want to bring it home yet, I'm affraid I'll forget to take it back for the first flex test. BTW testing with jack it looks pretty good so far!
  18. It's still not done but I started it tonight while on the stands and ran through the gears. It was quite loud since half of my exhaust was still off. Still left to do: Adjust t-bars (sits like a lowrider right now) Recheck all fluids. Add tranny cooler Add Oil gauge (since an idiot friend broke the sender wire) Adjust shifter linkage Mount remote filter (It's wiretied to the fender now) Wait for new wheels and tires Flex this puppy AGAIN in Dad's ditch!
