Hey, I wanted to buy an rx7 project car so I can put an lt1 engine in it, a procedure commonly done. I found an rx7 with a blown motor, exactly what I am looking for. However, I don't know if my pathy will survive the 2 hour tow from maryland. I was wondering what I need, other than the carier that holds the two front wheels of the car up. I have a manual, so will my clutch burn up? There will be about 2500 to 3000 pounds being towed with the stock hitch I just yanked from the junk yard. Any Help would be awsome! Thanks!

Thanks to everyone for their help. The harness came with the taillights and it literally is "plug and play," even though it is hard to find the plug. Ill post some pics once I get them installed. Thanks Again!

Thanks for the help everyone....I got the "q" lights, or the newer pathy lights. What is this about a wire harness?

I have a few questions about taillights. My right one was recently cracked, and I want to know what options I have. I know I can get the OEM for a 97, but I like the 99 and up tail lights. Would they fit on my 97 or do I need a lot of modification? I might even go with these black altezzas Here, but I dont know if they would appear too rice or not.

The same EXACT thing happened to me. I work with a mechanic who does work on the side, and he quoted me 400 for a true dual exhaust with two 50 series. Does anybody have an idea of what pipe size I should use from the cats back? Thanks

The rollover is insane at 47 degrees. I got a boat tilt gauge and mounted it in my sunglass flipdown thing. It works well and gives me an idea where my truck is at all times. Here it is Clinometer. Cheap insurance if u ask me

I am looking into buying cams for my 97 path se, but I want to hear from some people first. The only story I heard didnt give me much confindence...at all. Also, do cams kill your low end, making off roading difficult, or do they make everything better? Thanks for any help!

Did you check the box behind the rear left cargo panel?

I just purchased a roof basket and I want to mount 4 lights on the top. I want them to be super bright, but I have no idea which ones to get. I have had bad experiences in the past from lights promising crazy brightness, but in fact, they were dimmer than my fogs. I need them to be relativly cheap as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. One more thing...how would I run the wires from the lights to the cabin and battery without them being seen?

It has to be the METER fuse. Its a 10v fuse located in the cabin fusebox

It was a fuse that died, and right after the alternator crapped out...luckily my friend has a SHO and it can run w/o a battery so he just gave me his to get home. Thanks for the help!

I just recently noticed that the guages in my 97 5 speed cut off. They worked about 10 minutes before that, and all of the sudden they were just cut. I went over a pretty large bump...could this be it?Also, the turn signal and high beam lights in the center of the consol work, but the others do not...such as the seatbelt and check engine lights that normally come on when you start the car. In addition to the tach and mph guage being off, I noticed that the temp guage does not work either, hopefully the same does not apply to my fuel guage. I tried restarting the car with no luck. Can anybody help me? I would be grateful for any help at all.

I searched and all I found on this topic was replacing the stock muffler and quotes on muffler replacements. I'm asking what type of muffler would you guys reccomend for my 97? I just want it to sound beastly and I am willing to pay up to $200 for it. I have been looking at Magnaflow and Flowmaster, but I want to know how they sound, if there are any other good brands, and if they are worth the money. Any help would be great. Thanks!

If it were me I would just try the junkyard, you could get both for around 75 there.

Sometimes it starts up fine, other times it bogs down at first, then takes a little while to get to idle. Once I get going though it runs fine, I just wish I could turn off that light. I'm going to get my codes read tom, I post what happens.

Hey, I just installed a cheapy intake from AutoZone. I was wondering why my check engine light was on. I plugged in all the vac hoses and I am sure this is what caused the light to come on. Any ideas? any help would be great Thanks
