  1. No I didn't run an ecu code check. That was done at the shop like two weeks ago. If I remember correctly, I think he said it was a 42? But I am not sure. Zack
  2. Well, I am having the issue with it stumbling at idle for about 5-10 seconds when you first start it. I know that it might be in my head, but the truck does seem like it has more power. It is just strange, because there was not the slightest bit of dirt on the MAF. One would think that after 11 years and 163,000 miles it would be dirty. Thanks, Zack
  3. Hey everyone, This afternoon I pulled the MAF sensor out of my 1995 Path with 163,000 miles. It seems like is was not even the slightest bit dirty. It was never cleaned before (I am the orig owner). Should it have been dirty? I cleaned it anyway with a q tip and alcohol but I don't think it did anything because the q tip stayed clean. Even if I didn't take any dirt/grime off do you think I helped my truck? Thanks, Zack
  4. A friend HAD a 1994 XE and he went to Lube-X press for an oil change. They ended up not taking out the old oil and added 4 new quarts. As was noted in an eailer post the engine created foam , and it was starved of oil. They ended up killing his engine. He got the money out of them, but just sold the 94 and got an 03. I never trust those people. Zack
  5. Posted March 31, 2006 02:45 AM Hi everyone, I am the original owner of my 1995 SE-V6 5 spd with 163,000 miles. The issues started over the summer after the truck was not used for about a week. When I went to start it started and ran but it was stumbling and back fireing and it barely made it up my driveway and the check engine light was one. After a few minutes it cleared up, the light went out and all was well. On the same day it did the exact same thing later in the day, and after that it did not do it at all. So fast forward to now and the light still has not returned, but I think my MPG has dropped off and SOMETIMES when I start it in the mornings or after not running for a few hours for about 5-10 seconds when it first starts it will idle very poorly and the exhaust will smell horrible, but again it is only for a few seconds. I took it into the shop and he checked the fuel press and said it was fine. The only thing that he could find was a corroaded wire leading to the mass airflow sensor (I think that is what he said?) We orig figured that it was an O2 sensor, but he said that did not show up on the computer. The truck has been tuned-up'ed always using OEM parts, and I have always changed the oil every 3,000 miles using Mobil-1. Any ideas as to what is wrong. Other than the above issues she runs perfect! Thank you, Zack
  6. Hey everyone, I went to change the oil on my 1995 Path yesterday (163,000 miles, and I am the orig owner) When I got under the truck, I noticed that is was wet with oil under there. Except that I don't think it is oil. The wet area was near/on the front diff, and it was a clear fluid, so I have ruled out motor oil, and anti-freeze. I know that my PS pump is on it's way out, because it moans and groans on cold days (and now even on spring days) but that fluid looks dark, and the res is not empty. So what might my Path be leaking? Any ideas Thank you, Zack
  7. What does a new MAF for a 1995 cost at Nissan? Zack
