Superson Might have something there. they make similar systems for cammercial kitchens....the only expensive part would be the chemical..... I also recall seeing something like that in Jegs for dragsters.....should be relatively easily to plumb the system to cover more than a carb.

Alright...I've had it with this Import Crap
El Pathfindero replied to El Pathfindero's topic in The Garage
I've heard those treatments and conditioners are snake oil. My T-bars are maxed out and the pathy sits about 1 1/2 inches lower than it used to El Pathfindero has got 230,000 on her man-how much longer will she take me? And she's still leaking ATF out the t-case. Maybe we put too much in and its coming out the breather tube for the t-case?? Whatever, El P -
AS a lot of you know, just finished the replacement of my Autotragic. but guess what? still shifts just as hard as the old one did before i sheared all the bushings.....1st to second is really hard, 2nd to 3rd is sloppy and long.....and to top it all off every time i park i find a good sized pool of ATF leaking from my t-case.....but my level never seems to get lower when i check it. If i dont figure this out within the next week you will all See El pathindero up for sale, because I am tired of dealing with this import crap that you cant even plug a Snap-on red brick into to figure out issues...Why didnt i buy an XJ? Torsion bar indexing is a loss, Pathy sits a little too the left and low as hell...just fed up with all the issues this thing has if you work on it yourself. :furious: I hate to sell it but i hate to even open the damn hood on this thing. every time i do i know i'll have to dissassemble the entire thing just to do something simple like changing the t-stat :furious:

Ecu Self-diagnostics For 87-95 Pathfinder
El Pathfindero replied to 88pathoffroad's topic in How-To's
Does the ECU also control shift times, and would driving it in diagnostic mode affect that at all (not sure if its in diagnostic mode or not, just a hunch) -
Thinkin on buying something to replace the pathy when i get done with college. and one thing is for sure, the pathfinder has left a lasting impression on me: I'm sticking with Nissan. so heres my dilemma, I'v made up my mind that im either going with a Fronty or an X but need to know which would be a better choice. I kinda like the idea of having a pickup again, but love my suv..... if i go with a Gen. 1 fronty i'll be shooting for a crew cab supercharged one and the x-terra, well, i just like the suv aspect of it But I've heard nothing but good things about the 05+ X-terra Offroad, and Nismo frontier, so which direction should i shoot for? the 05's or an older model So far I'm leaning pretty hard on the first-gen frontier El P

again....depends on what you're doing with your pathy.....I'm stickin it out with IFS

Hey, If they hold A CAN OF SODA, they're already one step better than the flat peice of plastic nissan called a cupholder
-
there is no other one......(south dakota man) do you think you could do me a huge favor and get the part # from your dealer?? I'd be indebted to you forever
-
Hey all, looking for the little cupholder doohickey that replaces the existing ashtray. Dealer couldn't find it, but said if i could bring him a part # he could order one. (or if anyone has one they'd like to part with for a 93 El P

Here's my damage: its a three drawer toolbox and takes up half the hatch. *various hand tools (wrenches, sockets, drivers, etc) *a tackle box full of various nuts bolts fasteners (rattles a little, but hey) *another full tackle box of electrical stuff, especially heat shrink tubing *AAA survival kit-folding shovel, road lantern, first aid kit, water, emergency blanket and a bunch more: not bad for $20 *blanket, camp pillow, sleeping bag and air mattress *zip ties of all sizes, hoseclamps, wire, and ROPE *sandpaper and file-trust me they both come in handy *essential fluids *knife, hatchet, and camp saw *waterproof matches, air compressor, heat gun *bug and tar remover, scrapers *shop rags *3 gallon ATV pack of gas on roof rack *hi-lift on roof rack *bfh *baseball bat for all those sneaky cockarochess *JB weld, and tapes and sealers of all sorts HUH?? SOUNDS FAMILIAR.... ... EL P

So here's a post trying to get a list of all the PRACTICAL things to carry at all times.....you know the "ready for anything" toolbox. Thing is, its gotta fit in the hatch of a pathy or on the roofrack that someof us are fortunate enough to have. you know, space-saving? -thnkboutit- So everybody chip in. maybe we'll all throw something in the back of the pathy we never thought of. I'll go back and edit this post with whatever sensible things we throw out. maybe if it gets enough hits we could pin it?? El P

Rebuilt auto tranny sourcing suggestions?
El Pathfindero replied to MaximumHP's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
get on Ebay and find phoenix remanufactured transmissions. I just laid down 1500 on one of their units $825 for tranny, $350 core charge (send your old one back) and $300 for shipping which covers both ways. you"ll get a brand-new (sorta) unit, all key electrical, a TC, and pan. usually ships within 5 days Sounds like you sheared a bushing or two. my pathy did the exact same thing yours did before i lost every gear but first and reverse.....have fun, changing a tranny is a PITA, still working on mine EL P -
Alright folks....pondering some ideas and wanna see how some things look before i go out and lay down the cash 1. Pics of wd21's with the ARB snorkel 2. Pics of anyone who has the AC prerunner bumper 3. pics of a cowl induction hood (even if its a hardbody part, it'll work on a pathy) 4. pics of front prerunner fenders, want to buy HB ones and make them fit. 5. This one's for Killvox: Need a pic to see how those taillight shades look man! (I got a greeen pathy too remember?) Thanks guys (and Slick) El P

Revising This post because I found an Xterra rack at my local JY for $70 was wondering if it could be done easily on a '93 with a sunroof? El P
-
Nice hitch Slick....same one I've got on me pathy, except mine gets used more as protection than as an actual hitch (rocks dont stand a chance )

so lemme get this straight this is for a four pole lighting adapter? did the wd21's come with a factory four pole?? El P

5. Got a power invertor want to throw in back hatch, and also one or two more in glove box for other stuff like radar detector and thermometer El P
-
doing some wiring on EL P lately but have a few q's 1. Where is the wiring harness for a trailer loacated, tore through my taillight harness a little bit and cant find it, if not there how hard is that too tap? 2. where does everyone mount their relays for aftermarket lights? 4. Will have four different circuits of lights leading off of my battery, as well as my stereo, would wiring in a second fuse box be a good idea, so it doesn't look like the jungle book is crawling off my battery?? 5. want to wire in a second and maybe third 12 volt female end, where would be the best way to tap those in (one will be in hatch for sure) 6. want to tie in some small fog light to my reverse light circuit, just splice off my existing reversle light wire right? Have quite a good deal of exp. with electronics, but just value second opinions, will post up more questions later......... El P

---INTERIOR VENT TRIM!!!!---

Just redid EVERYTHING in the pathy so this is a topic I can helpout on a lot 1. Take out of car (duh) 2. Wash everything really well with soap and water 3. Rinse off and air dry 4. Scuff all plastic Surfaces with scotch brite or light sandpaper so paint has something to stick to 5. Rinse off with water again 6. Soak Lint-free washcloth in alcohol (not vodka tho -alcohol- ) and give everything a good bath 7. make sure you buy Either Krylon's Fusion, Or Rustoleum's Plasti-kote for all your plastic parts, but you'll want a vinyl & fabric paint for your armrests, or other high-contact areas, will last longer 8. Spray away, allowing at least an hour between coats 9. About 3 or four coats should do the job 10. finish it off with a coat or two of semigloss, clear coat, just to ensure protection This way might seem time consuming and a PITA, but getting in a huryy with this stuff will guarantee is doesn't look like shiite Thats my $0.02 El P

would it be safe to remove the cross members in order to put the hole in? the braces are only used to support the sheetmetal of the roof, or are they a key to support of the side walls to??
