july 4th!...is when I'm going to attempt to put it on. I just got back from vacation and opened the box to find...all kinds of bolts, screws, I never knew existed and of course the blocks. I read the directions and I am totally lost. but I have the handy dandy body lift guide from this website. I reallly hope all goes well. I'd hate for something to go wrong and I have to end up selling it or spending hundreds of dollars getting it fixed. Hopefully mine and my 2 buddies patience don't run out. -thnkboutit-

I just found out that there 8-lug...not 6. Last night I saw the exact same rims but they were like 20's on a tahoe. :bow: .They were amazing.

So last night I ended up with a broken driver side mirror. It broke on the part that connects the mirror's frame? to the other piece that is connected to the car. It was hanging on because of the wires. I've found a few replacements on ebay, and jc whitney. But I don't know if there the exact pieces because the picture doesn't look like mine, but it could just be a universal picture. and I don't want to end up spending almost $60 for 2 new mirror assemblys incase it isn't the exact same. I'll also go to the junkyard and try to find one, but the last few times I've been there they've had no pathfinders. That sucks for a 45 minute drive and having to sit in an hours worth of traffic on the way home. Any suggestions? :help: (What crappy timing, when I'm trying to get a paintjob, new tires, and a body lift)

I got estimates today, and the cheapest was 750...and that was without door jams and all that. or 1200 for door jams and back hatch, etc. I think I can do without. I also got a friend who would do it for 200, but I talked to his friend and he said he has to paint his truck every month or so. no thanks. lol How much cheaper would it be to keep it the same color though??

It looks good in the picture, but its really not. It has scratches all over, atleast 10 good sized rust spots which some of them leak even after applying a bunch of silicone on it. Under the passenger key hole it looks like some1 had a big keychain and it kept going back and forth on the paint and scratched the hell out of it. I'm getting a body lift and tires too but I just want it to look totally different with a new paintjob too. okay, so I'm getting a new paintjob...not sure what color, but nothing fancy like deep ocean blue plus sparkles and a chameleon 2-tone minus the fender flares and black trim piece under front bumper any suggestions?? I'm thinking white :confused:

i got brave and decided to do it last thursday. after 2 1/2 hours of wd-40-ing every damn bolt, taking the back tires off to get to 1 screw on each side, and cleaning them up some with polishing compound. I was finished. I'll post pics prolly tomorrow. It looks good except for some scratches where they had been rubbing over the years.

I've been wanting to do that with mine for a long time, but I'm afraid I'll get to the last one and it'll b rusted really bad and then would have just wasted an afternoon messing with it. And i definately don't want to sand prime and repaint it.

The passenger side sits a little lower than the driver side, by a few inches. I'm replacing the shocks soon and hopefully getting a body lift to go along with it. Will that even it out? Also, what about removing the sway bars..does it effect anything besides the flex?

I've finally decided to put a body lift on my truck..and finally have put money aside to do it.....myself. woo! now, what do I need to know.. longer cables and hoses? do-able for a first timer? need bigger shocks than stock ones? (I'm buying new ones, but I need to know what size) what else?? :confused:
