  1. i would go to autozone....the initial cost is fairly high but the durlast brand (autozone brand) is free lifetime replacement no questions asked....it has worked wonders for myself...dont forget there is a core charge on a half shaft. i know AC sells the aftermarket boots - I havnt heard ANYTHING about these though. as for the replacement - a friend did a small write up on it and i know there is a write up on this board somewhere.
  2. hows the progress? if any?
  3. trust me on that....its not good...if you loose that alternator belt lol

good info. that reminds me....i have alot of resistance on my fan clutch
  5. should be but i wouldnt let it get into a habit ya know. the sooner you fix it the better - isnt it hot there?
  6. nosies specifically like "clicking" "turning/rotating" "tapping" and/or any related noise to turning your key over
  7. means ur batt is dead - anyway u can take it autozone for a charge? or charge it at your home with the $45 batt charger? if you said it turned it means its prob your starter? im assuming u banged on it. what else do u hear?
  8. i would buy that and part it out for $200. or get a salvage title and take it wheelin
  9. forgot about the power to the starter... i would check that also... good posting ^^^^
  10. thanks for the info. ill be doing the math later on as it would hurt too much right now.
  11. i was considering this "mod" on my truck because my buddys 98 maxima has the white indago guages. let me know it turns out for you if you decide to go through with this. if you can take some pics!
  12. but u said u heard a noise - so that leads me to think its your starter. could be your solenoid too. the fuse penl to the left of the steering wheel, open it. there should be 3 blue topped relays there. one of them is your ignition relay. check that (the 3 blue ones are interchangeable) as for your battery ground - follow the black wires down from the battery until you come to its end. if that isnt connected....then its your ground. if the wire is uncovered at any point it could be touching something else and shorting it out. let me know how that goes then if its nothing ive said yet ill think of it
  13. do u think your gonna replace the entire half shaft or just the boot?
  14. thats quite the increase...how many liters is your tank (assuming your from canada). (reasoning: id like to find out how this compares to my 95 in mpg thanks)
  15. thats an fsm by the way. not the actual manual that comes with the car. but hope it helps

  17. dude it looks nice - i know i told you already but how easy did u find the install?
  18. ok so if you want to keep em on - a zip tie might possibly break...but the end should fold back toward the attached part of the bar... they SHOULD stay there - if you are skeptical about them staying there you might be able to get away with them ziptied to their folding position. hope that helps
  19. so was your question answerd? or do u wanna know how to remove your tailgate in addition to your tire carrier
  20. i think it would melt - because your exhaust gets alot hotter than your dryer
  21. check your connections (battery, power and ground...if no dice follow the ground back make sure its still good.) next i would get onder ur pathy with a hammer and bang the sht out of the starter lol. im serious - jjust hit it. if after a couple hits it starts, just get a new one from a jy because thats your problem. i would say so push start it but its auto....if your battery is dead (and it will get that way when u try to start it with no luck over and over) just charge it back up. good luck lemme know if you need clarification on anything. someone else who knows more than myself should feel free to chime in
