  1. I've only had my Pathfinder a short time so I am still learning. But had a similar problem on an older car. It had electronic ignition module. IE an module that replaces the points in the distributor. Every time it would get hot it would start to run very badly and then wouldn't start until it cooled down for an hour or so. Not sure if the Pathy's are the same or not. Just throwing out some ideas. Does it run like crap once it gets hot?
  2. Sorry my mistake. Just did a bit more looking and it wasn't a female driver. Musta been thinking of some other vid I've seen.
  3. You can't even see the driver in that vid.
  4. Sorry Pezzy wasn't making any particular reference to how females drive. I could be wrong but I was certain it was a female. Saw that vid about 2-3 years ago and I thought the spotter was the husband and the driver was his wife. I might be mistaken. And Pezzy my wife is very good driving offroad!!!
  5. An oldie but a goodie. BTW it was a female that was driving!
  6. Yeah there's not alot of local talent, just watch Australian Idol and you'll see that! Most Aussie bands that make it, really make it and end up in the US anyway. Like AC/DC for example.
  7. Well at least I know I have an ST now. When I rang for my insurance they asked and I had no idea, so I guessed ST. What other difference between them? I have power windows too or was that standard? Cloth seats too. Anyway put a new MP3 capable head unit in on Monday and it sounds good!
  8. I should say it all depends on the type of driving you do and the % and type of offroad driving you do. If you like the BFG's and had a good run from them and like them then by all means buy another set.
  9. Maybe if it's so rare you should sell it on Ebay? Got any pics of it and the 'package' offroad?
  10. I never liked my BFG AT's so I'd try anything else. I found the BFG wore out way to quick. But granted they weren't on a Pathy and were run on the very harsh Australian roads that are very rough on tires. Edit: I should mention that they really really really suck in the mud. But were ok on the beach. And I only got 22,000 miles out of them before they were fawked. But I was hard on them. They suck on rocks too.
  11. There's a 10A fuse labeled 'Audio Amp'. I pulled this fuse and it made no difference to the sound of my stereo. Does this mean the stock Audio Amp isn't working anyway? Just don't want to run new cables to the front speakers when I install the new head unit if I don't have to.
  12. No there is not even a spot for them. Trust me it never had any from the factory, not even an empty spot.
  13. Geordie, What part of WA? I'm in Geraldton. But looking at the background in your pic and the height of the trees I'd say as a guess it's Perth or south. Love the front bash plate too and mesh too! BTW one thing I have learned living downunder over the last 10 years is that everything aftermarket here is so expensive that you have to learn how to do things yourself.
  14. If anyone wants to see a strange Pathy with no rear speakers anywhere let me know and I'll take pics! Thanks for the comments on my 'box' too Simon!
  15. No trust me there are no speakers in the back. It might be an Australian spec'd Pathy thing. All I have is front door speakers and they suck! I'm just waiting on the new Head Unit I ordered to arrive then I can see how well the replacement front speakers and the rear Pioneer 220W ones perform. Just have to wait and see if I should put ports in the rear box I made.
  16. Yeah that's the ones!!!! Is that what they are for? That makes sense too!
  17. Built this box to house the rear speakers since my path had no rear stockers. Then made bracket on the bottom of the box, and using the stock tie down points used a large cable ties to hold it down. Not much theft protection but that wasn't my original intention. Just wanted to keep it in place. The wires on the top of the box are now under the rear passenger seat. They are bullet type connectors so I can unhook them quickly, cut the cable ties, and remove the rear speakers should and when I'll need to fold the rear seats forward and use all the rear cargo area. Plus there's some room under the box to store a few things like my shackles and the snatch strap which is in the bag in the pic.
  18. Cool thanks! I thought that was the most logical thing they could be. Just never seen a vehicle with a release lever for the trim. Most you have to yank off so all the clips break in the process and you have to buy more.
  19. BTW during my shopping for head units I came across a Clarion model that lists a feature "Amp cancelling circuit". I wonder if this refers to external speaker amps? Like dropping it's output power if it detects another amp? At any rate I didn't buy that particular model. But I did buy a Clarion.
  20. Last night while I was installing a speaker box I made for the back of my 94 I came across a lever of some sort. There's one on each side inside the rear passenger area. I looks like it might be a release of some sort for the plastic trim. I'll post a pic later if required.
  21. Being a new Pathy owner I'm not sure what a Lego wheel is. But it would have to be at least an 8" rim.
  22. Yes and in the land down under if ya tire sticks out past your fender then say hello to Mr. Copper!!!
  23. I am about to go to Option 2. When it's said "After that you will need to run a short ground wire to any peice of metal that will do.' I am assuming this means from the chassis of the new deck to a decent ground? I did notice when I pulled the old deck out it wouldn't work unless the mounting bracket was touching metal. I'll be using all new speakers and will be bypassing the stock amps. BTW this is on a 94.
