  1. it's NPORA contributions, and it's ''old timers'' members team that are ''les maitres d'oeuvres''... although the're not that old !! P.S. the search fonction is quite practical, it's not that much of a labyrinth as it appears... basically, all the info is there .
  2. ...Translate 14.9 liters/100kms... based on a 976km drive...had to fuel 2 times and half but then it was not all empty... can't quite say how many liters it holds... I've seen 57 liters tanks/15 gallons ...can't be it would make 3.8 liters per !! usually a gallon is 4.5 liters on a pathfinders specs i found 21.1 gallons...hum... thats no straight answer i guess.. hard to figure, capacity can be mesured in liters, american gallons, british gallons, canadian gallons ...ppffffffff. don't think there are any american liters or canadian liters... i hope !! anyway...let say about 500km on a tank would make 312 miles... if i divide by 4.5 l/gal. not nautical miles now !!
  3. Thanks to BURTON8IT and KINGMAN, here is the link for the litterature or Service manuel of Paths 1994... originaly posted on this marvelous NPORA site by Redpath88 himself quoting 2geepfinger!! QUOTE(2geepfinder @ Aug 26 2008, 11:17 PM) * Ok here is an updated link since the pinned one blows!!!!! Download while the link is still good. This is a link to Digital Copies of Complete Bumper to Bumper Nissan OEM Shop Manuals for 1994 - 2004 Pathfinders just_cuz_37.gif http://rapidshare.com/users/BZTM6R Password: pdftown.com Those files need to be extracted also , with winzip or winrar...
  4. aeternaldark, this is the one ''unccpathfinder'' was refering to...although it applies for 1994,it is similare to the 1990... yes it is 34 some mbs in pdf format... quite better than Haynes indeed... for a novice like me thank you for your attention ! ..i think i found what i was looking for... i was searching the location of the Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) on the engine (found that one) ,and the Idle Air Adjusting Unit (IAA) still looking for it... there is a idle ajujsting screw...on it. but before i start playing with this module i got to clean my MAF (that's another story since the screws were already altered before i even tried ) ...i remember seeing the mechanic playing with the trottle sensor and idle switch...this one has been sticky ever since... my engine run's 2000 rpm most of the time...after a hour or so it comes down to 1100 rpm... so i got to clean it with some carb cleaner... so it's quite a mechanical immersion course...
  5. ...got the pdf files...lots of reading again, lol... thank you for your encouragement my1path !
  6. i said before that i was inclined for mechanics... but i have been decrypting for the last few days this...paperback, just trying to figure out electronics on the Path... not many diagrams and when there is, it so magnified that i wonder...and i wonder where the f.. is it or is it it ?... it is very difficult to localize anything ...any better book ?? i am just ready to go for mechanical courses, it would be far more gratifiing than decoding the little isolated diagrams in this manual... i'll keep it to start my fire with it ( too rough to make toilet paper)... i am not a antropologist... any ideas ? someone ?

  8. I'm screwed... Thanks to you for your valuable information...relating to the cleaning of the MAF... So i ran down to the garage with my big screw driver vise-grip and flash light...unfortunately, it seems like someone, previous owner or another screwdriver mechanic... has tried it before me, by the looks of the screws... i cannot remove them unless i get into some...'tidy 'manicure'' of the screws... it looks like it has never been undone ...Patience is a vertu... guess i should get a big roll of it at the mall
  9. ... incredible...the works you've done on your Path, you are courageous... i guess you are quite satisfied ... but it's a path and it's worthed...wish i had the garage and the tools to do similar work.
  10. ...One thing for sure, we may have seen them performing on a golf club backyard, and whatever they say about performances is quite relative... at Dakar 2009, first and second was volkswagen, third was surprisingly a Hummer, fourth and fifth were Nissan... (11 nissan finished the course)... on 91 cars that finished... Strange that on 91 vehicules, nothing resembling to cherokees, Ford or Chevys... but then again there were... 88 withdrawals... due to breakdowns... ...Isn't Dakar a good enough test drive for a vehicule? ...from 3 january to 18 january 2009, 6000 kms of obstacles to cross... i would keep my dime for another cheap game... or ground... ah... i forgot ...after checking the ''classement''... didn't cost a dime :-)... 88 withdawals : 1 Jeep, 7 Nissan... no Chevys, no Fords., no M1A1 Abrams neither, were in that rally...it's a wonder... since it happened on the continent... Chili, Argentina. http://www.dakar.com/2009/DAK/LIVE/us/1400...sement/CGA.html
