I would of told you go to a junk yard and take a cat off of some other vehicle... except thats illegal.... Idk about it but i have heard talk of getting a pipe and just make it go around the cat... but still leave the cat in there... or just cut the cat out... Idk what to offer cause i havent really looked into performance cats... I planned on cutting my cat out... I know you can get high flow cats at napa... try them... or if you got some extra cash to spend go get a racing cat!

Found this online and thought it might be useful if people knew about it http://www.alldata.com/TSB/ Its a listing of all Technical Service Bulletins and Recalls! Select your year, then make, then model, then engine, then the list is there. Kingman this might help you out with your idle problem....

That sucks bro... I have an Idea... let me check it out and I will post on it tomorrow and let you know...I need some sleep!

Me like... Gonna have to try that one sometime....

where did you find all that?
-
That would be dirty!

? If you guys have the same motor as a 350z, what car shares the same motor in our WD21 VG30 motors?
-
Personally I would say if you have the time and money, go get a block and build up an engine with performance parts... better pisons, rods, cam, lifters...etc. It would be a little more expensive, but the knowledge, skills, and the power you gain would be priceless! I plan on doing this next summer. Sorry to hear about it though!

something to remember for later on!

I figured it was metallic rotors and pads making the sparks... wasnt sure though! anyone thought about doing pinion brakes?
-
I understand that this is a parking brake, but could someone explain what kind of brakes are used on monster trucks? I see them on TV all the time and its this big disc right over the hub, or "pumpkin", of the axle. and it sparks every time its used!

How much do those bulbs cost, the 85w? I basically want to look cool and have it be functional all at once! (plus my neighbors need a wake up call on Saturdays for being a-holes for the last 7 years LOL!)
-
Very impressive! I like those! what were they? silverstars? and you think i can find bulbs that bright for my light bar?
-
thanks for the advice... I just wanted to do an HID kit cause its something that no one has done here on the forum from what i can tell. havent seen anyone else bring up the idea. and plus the whole "blue accented white lights" just looks cool!
-
I say scrap the idea for these rims and get a set of these POS's! NOT! just thought i would get a laugh in!
-
I agree... now if only they did a recall on our WD21's for the timing belt problems....

http://www.4x4parts.com/catalog/ poke your nose around there for a bit... you can find most of what you need there... all Nissan Pathfinder and Hard body pick up parts! As for response and better fuel economy, go to your local Napa auto parts store, give them you year, make, model, and ask them for better than basic spark plugs and wires. I went with Autolite double platinum plugs. Little more expensive but at the time it would of been worth it! (with my engine quitting and all) Also, keep up with oil changes, and change your transmission fluid and filter, should get some better response and a little bit better fuel mileage. Change air filter Get a can of "Carb and throttle body cleaner" at napa when you get your plugs and then spray the inside of your throttle body. Also change your fuel filter! Its often overlooked but can release some mpg's. Run a tank of 89 octane fuel from shell or BP gas stations. Dont do Exon or Texxaco. The whole thing with Shell/BP is the way they make their gas is a little better of a process reducing the harmful things in other gas stations gas. In 89 octane gas, their are some cleaning agents that actually are good for an engine that runs on 87 octane usually. Can clean out carbon and other nasty gunk!. If your really into wanting to get good fuel mileage and such, I would personally recommend rebuilding your throttle body if you have the mechanical abilities. (Not sure of your experience so i had to put that out there) Hope this helps! (on a side note this is my 400th post! )

looks like someone took an ARB bumper and the front grill assembly of an xterra- combined them- and painted it white and added some lights... I wouldnt do it... I would have to modify it and then rhino line it before i even considered putting it on my car!

I got a body lift on mine... no problems at all....The one problem i had was shifting down in to 4x4 Low... the floor gets in the way... so the previous owner (who installed the BL) cut a small portion of the floor out.... only like 3" though... not that big of a deal...
-
For those of you who have done the Calmini Lift...

Just save your cash and lift it the right way... Plus you will have new fittings and everything up front when your done... -
I personally say... work from you header back... Header -> 1.78 to 2.5" adapter -> 6" straight pipe -> cat -> thrush turbo Muffler ->down pipe I have been planning to do that for a while...
