OK....first, thank you for the download... Second...I am still looking for the gusset that has to be removed. The pic shows what looks like the hole left by the starter after being removed, but is what I can only imagine it is the gusset that I cannot locate. Can you tell me where this gusset is located on the engine i.e. the D/S or P/S...above the or below the?...Third... I have the FSM in paper back and on CD and now downloaded to this computer. BTW...the 95 supplement had nothing on the transmission removal from what I recall. All the manuals and Pathfinder are at a friends house where the work is being done. I'm SOOO tired...engine and transmission swap and a 2 week old baby...our third....I'm .

I keep a full size exact copy for spare and then do a 5 tire rotation. It also gives me a full size spare that I can go as far as necessary until I can get it fixed. The recommended distance on the spares are usually only 50 miles an hour for 50 miles. That sucks if you are in the middle of nowhere and this is a little bit of insurance that you get home or the store with four good tires. Just my $.02.

My K&N filter is red, not blue or purple. It sounds like a different brand to me.

It's a 95 V6 with automatic transmission and transfer case. I am in the process of removing engine, tranny and transfer case. I am at the point of separating the tranny from the engine and it seem impossible to remove the bolts from the torque converter. Do I have to access these bolts through the hole for the starter or does the tranny just slip away from the engine without separating the flex plate from the torque converter? All the manuals that I have,Chilton's, Haynes or the Service Manual, none say to remove the flex from the torque converter. None of them really say much after remove starter then remove transmission bell housing bolts/transmission. Semper Fi

If it was a knock and ping, or rattle and clank that sounds like metal falling down onto metal, the mechanic may have left a tool in the engine compartment(I loose more tools that way on the road). . If it continues, there's either a lot of tools in the engine area and I will be following you around for a couple of days, or you may have an ass. bracket/bolt loose. Thousands of options that come from little knocks and pings to be heard in a forum .

I've been putting Pioneer in all my vehicles for over a decade now, and have had very good sound quality. I don't need all that fancy stuff that cost alot of money, I would like the dental work in my mouth anyhow.

I broke over 138,000 on my way to DC yesterday. Running strong and true to what I've come to expect from my 95 Pathy.

I've got the factory 31" tires and get about 16 mpg in city and about 19 on the highway. Keeping the truck tuned and the psi correct in the tires, goes a long way to improving your MPG.

Just filled up here in Raleigh, NC for $1.81 for 87. Thats about average around here. Just got back from AZ where I was looking at $2.01 or better for 87. It's getting outragous out west. One more reason not to live in Mesa anymore.

Sometimes I almost miss living in Mesa. I grew up there and moved about 14 years ago. But when i go to visit, about every two years, something at my sisters house always reminds of another reason why I don't. Scorpions, yuck...grew up with em all around and I don't miss the little nasty critters at all. But I do miss Pete's Fish & Chips, mail me a monster burger and rings please.

I had a similar problem with my previous PF but it was alot quicker than 4 hours. It turned out to be the fuel filter. I now change it whenever I think it's hinting at any slight problem the fuel. This might be or might not be the problem, but I hope this helps. And it only costs a few bucks to find out. Good luck.

OK...I can admit it...I'm 3? -boohoo- and I'll be turning 3? in June...so throw another candle on the fire for me -scream- . But hey....my wife is 9 yrs younger than I am, as she reminds me all to often. She tells me that when she's 31, I'll be 40. So I remind her that when I'm 40, I'll be married to a 31 yr old . And that's usually when she starts beating me up -losenit- . Ain't it great to be young at heart sly

Jim, I find it refreshing to know that I can go into a forum that I would let my kids watch. Anything that I would write, or read, and I don't want to have to worry about offensive words or phrases. I spent 6 years in the Marines and it was a day to day bombardment of terrible language. I am not saying that I don't use or have never used profanity, because quite frankly, sometimes it's quite !@#^%#@*%#$ refreshing . But just the same, I enjoy the refuge from every day garbage that surrounds me, that I find in this forum. Jim you do a wonderful with this furom and I believe you must make the final decission based on what you believe to be proper. But hey, that's just my little opinion

Well, I really didn't have time to look at the sizes at Pep boys. I just looked at the price ranges on them. I will probably run into the same problem of them not having what I need(thats just my kind of luck) <_< .
-
I was just at Pep Boys today and happened to look at the gas struts for mine(doing the same thing). I didn't get to look much( i was on company time), but the prices ranged from about $15 to $25. Hope this helps

Oops! I read the posts a little to fast. I thought you where looking to add some off road light/fog lights. I didn't even notice that you had them from your previous vehicle . Hope this helps?

I have a 95 SE with factory fog lights. They are mounted in the bumper between the turn signal lenses. Hope this helps.

Well, it's nice to finally be a member. I have been watching all the great posts for about 4 months now and have been waiting to get a digital camera to join(don't wanna be a nebbie w/out a photo). Now all I have to do is get my lovely wife to show me how to do all that. BTW. I'm in central NC and would be looking for run to go on. Let me know...
