Hi-Lift mounting on spare tire carrier.
Harbinger replied to patzx300's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
lol, I love your sense of "stock" mookie -- your pathy a few years ago still woops the crap outta mine :-) I like that idea though! How did you fashion it? On another note, any pics yet? I remember that "Pimping a spare tire rack" thread awhile ago, and Snosk had a good design, would be good to see some others. -
I didn't see any crimping in the channels -- there was one spot in the front near the window that I thought the rubber stripping might be causing that, but still no luck. I didn't move it manually through the whole track -- thats a good idea, might have to rip back into it tonight. Should take a gander at the passenger side too if I get that far into it. (Definatley going to need some more beer) And yeah, it does go up and down with help, and with the weather the way it is its going to stay down for most of the time anyways, just sucks to pull over to roll up the window.
-
Its on the up, about 2-3 inches from the window. I have to rock the window back and forth to get it to move up, and I have to pull up on the window to get it all the way sealed. It moves up and down in a much more jerky fashion than the passenger window. I haven't had a chance to rip open the passenger side to compare yet.

Thanks for the help guys -- I still wasn't able to get it fixed, I tried every adjustment I could and still no luck. Its almost like its getting hung up somewhere along the line. But for the life of me I couldn't find what was causing it. I'm wondering if the door itself is causing this, due to the truck being tipped on the drivers side. I'll have to hit up the J/Y for another door if I ever make it out that way. Unless you guys have some better ideas that is.

A few guys on the trail clearing crew I ran into on my hike were carrying those -- definatly looks useful.

lol well spoken b! I like the stickers, wouldn't mind having a few for myself if they come available.

If his g/f's anything like mine shes not allowed in the garage. Thats not my rule either BTW, she seems to prefer it that way.

Anyone? Please?

:o How bout a SAS?

Holy Cluster**** batman! The whole thread on XOC is a mess. Even if us pathy owners don't "really" :X wheel our trucks, at least we can get along. PS. Sick pictures everyone :-) Nice to see 88's name/pictures on XOC as well!

I'm not quite sure what you mean by lift rods, but I may be missing some things too.
-
You weren't kidding So I got the window back into the rail ok, but now try as I might it still stops about 2 inches from the top of the window. It will go all the way to the top with some rocking, but I'm stumped. I'm guessing the door itself got bent out of wack, right above the mirror you can see a slight bow in the door, even though it still shuts and latches (With no perceptible leaks).
-
Ok, I finally got around to doing this so I thought I'd bring this post back from the dead. I've got everything torn apart, and now I can see that the front of the window has somehow jumped itself out of the guide. My question is, how do I adjust the window to reseat it? As a side note, I used a pair of wire crimpers as a panel tool -- didn't get a single broken clip

Ha! My lights never worked. The 4x4 on the other hand

Glad to see you back up and running! I would just be grimacing at the repair costs! Would be nice if we had a write up on replacing the BJ's so us members can save that few hundred dollars in labor costs.
-
Congrats B! Now if it only paid better than unemployment huh?

Nothing put on e-bay for that low of an asking price stays low for long. I got screwed a few years back buying a false set of PIAA fogs, got caught up in the bidding so much it was at $50 when I realized they where "like" PIAA's. Live and learn :-)
-
Lol, and I thought I was being smooth with my $26 bid (I'm Rave5096) Looks like its up $90.95 now though :-(
-
I've still got that one in my wallet from 1996. Wow :-) You guys make me look pathetic :-) So far my truck and I carry: A) A shovel 2) A leatherman 3) A Cell Phone Theres also a small chance of: 4) My 12 Gauge Of course the list is growing, but my pathy and I are still getting used to each other, so we don't go out to far into the wilds.

$450 for mine Fully loaded 87 with 265K miles

There are stations even in the states that offer NG. When I was first looking for a vehicle (Age 15) I found a 84 chevy .5 ton that had been converted. Was to expensive for the time though. I wouldn't mind giving up some room in the back for a tank, as I think the benefits of a multi-fuel engine would outweigh the space issues. I plan on a plywood cover for the back anyway :-) What is the cost of the parts and installation?

That sucks major arse! So much for being nice to jeepers eh? ** Not that everyone driving a heep is a asshat, but it seems like the common consensus!
-
What rack option was that? I've got a factory rack on top of mine and it doesn't come close to the 4x4 emblem.
-
I thought it just popped off, as it was used as a mounting point for the rare OEM light bar. Will investigate further later (trucks sitting at home)
