Congrats dude! Nice rig :cool2: Why did you get rid of the pathy, that was totally sweet!

Got pics. of one
-
Do you still have the original air box set up? Because a few of us were haveing the same problem. And what it is (poor design) The hood pushes down on the MAf wires and causes it to run ruff. I cut a hole in the heat shield so it dosnt hit the wiring and now it dosnt happen anymore. When its running ruff, jiggle the wires and see if the idle changes. Good luck.

Thanks for the input but they dont carry 32x11.5 tires anyway. My choices now are between the BFGs and the mastercraft coursers. Either one will look good on this wheel -bounce-
-
So should i do it after?
-
Hey all, I was wondering Should i get a front end alignment before or after i get the new tires put on. Or dosnt it matter. Thanks
-
Yes please We need pics! We need pics! I need to do it to mine also. The seat warmer sucks in the summer.
-
Hey guys, thanks for all the advise. But now i cant decide even more Im so confused. It sounds like no matter what tire i choose, i will be ok with. Even the super swampers. And i had a set of master crafts on my Rodeo and the were great. They are alot like the BFGs. Thanks for remindeing me, I think Rock on guys. Have a great week end.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
-
I would say about 75%. The rest is trails and mud. No rocks.
-
The super swampers are new they are a different design. More for the road and they are steel belted radials.
-
Sorry. What does dd mean.
-
Yeh! tell us know. -bounce- Good for you bro. New stuff is the shiznit. Go with the black wheels.

I didnt have a whole lot of air space in there anyway but i just bent another piece of mesh in half to use it as a prop. Once you get the bondo in there bleeding through the mesh and over the sides of the hole, its not going anywhere. Hey 93! Man, you fix up your pathy the way you want it. Thats what its all about.
-
With the rust holes that i had, i cut around the hole until i hit non rusted metal (1)Then istuffed the holefull of wire mesh (2)you can use chicken wire also. Then i mixed up some bondo enough to go past the wire mesh so the bondo has something to hold to. This is only the 2nd time i bondoed. its really easy. Wait a little while and sand the bondo smooth (3). Then hit it with some primer (4). When you use bondo u should try to get the 2 part mixture as close as you can. If you dont, it can come out rubbery. Good luck. Im sure there is others out there that can explain it better. But thats how i did it

I will let you know if it flakes or peels. I dont know about spraying it on plastic though. The cans i bought were 16.5 ounce cans and the were 7.99 in New Jersey. Also, There is this girl that i always see at the blockbuster in my town. She always just smiles and walks by. Well the first day i had the truck completed. She walks up and says, " Nice truck" and started asking me how i did it and stuff like that. And said she would like to do it to her j-heep. And of course i offered to help her So buy this stuff, spray it on your pathy, and the chicks will come!! :cool2:

Hey guys, I put more pics on photo bucket. I hope it works. Click below. http://s112.photobucket.com/albums/n166/killvox_2006/?sc=3

What keeps it from peeling is the prep work. I used a degreaser everywhere. And then i used 150 grit sand paper right up to the masking.
-
Thanks for the props guys. I really like the way it came out. As far as useing 10 cans. Besides spraying the truck, i did both bumpers, tail light covers and the wing in the back. Plus on the can it said to put 2 to 3 coats. I put on 4 coats. Maybe a little overkill.
-
Well it took me three days, a can of bondo, allot of sand paper and 10 cans of bed liner. But its done. Im in the process of putting the rest of the pics on photo bucket. Here is the finished product.
-
That is exactly what i am doing starting tomorrow. Personally i really like the way the spray bed liner goes on. I tried two different kinds, ( Below ) and i chose the Dupli-color over the Plasti-kote for a few reasons. The Dupli-color came out very evenly and the Plasti-kote came out to quick ( larger hole in nozzle ). The Dupli-color had a very nice uniform finish. The Dupli-color was 3 Dollars less a can. :cool2: On the back of the can it tells you what grit sand paper to use and you dont need primer.

Hey Trail, thats the same wheel i want. Where did you your cruise control buttons? Nice interior too :cool2:
-
Now that i think of it, I agree with 88 also. Mabey i will try doing it with square holes instead of round. I'll work on it. And yeh, if you do good prep job the bed liner will stick to pretty much anything. I sprayed my plastic tail light covers and they came out really nice. I also sprayed the wing on the back and my rear bumper. :cool2:
