  3. I went to get an alignment today but was told that I have alot of play(up & down) movement in both front wheels; after the examination on the frontend I ended up needing inner and outer bearings and upper and lower ball joints on both sides!!!! $640.00 wow; I didn't pay that, so im going to do it on my on. Does this seems right or our they taking me for a ride? If I need to change these things, do I need to pull the driveshaft to remove to balljoints top and bottom?

  9. I got home to today to see my rigs brake light on and shining; I mashed on the brake pedal and they were still on. The only way they will turn off is to take the fuse out; does this sounds like a brake light switch under the steering wheel went out? Any suggestion would be appreciated...
  10. Sorry that happen to you, hope you get it back on the road soon...
  11. Change the belt and PRAY,PRAY,PRAY to the nissan gods.... that there is nothing wrong with the engine.
  12. I had my lights to go off while driving one time and I found out it was a wire on my battery that was loose I've tighten it and never had a problem with since.
  13. I greased my bearing from the back of it with a grease gun using a needle end on it, and haven't had any problems with it since.
  14. PLEASE MAKE THE TIMING BELT CHANGE YOUR FIRST PRIORITY!!
  15. Sounds like your transmission cooler is clogged on that note.
  16. The only thing I can think that it could be is the drainage tube from the sunroof is blocked. If you do not have a sunroof then the passenger side inner fender must be blocked to where the water from the rain can't drain.
  17. I used a socket extension thru the hole of the cam sprocket to me it worked better; also use a small pick to pull the cam seal out with... like this...
  18. I found out what that squeaking noise was around my t/b area! It was the washer piece that goes on after the bottom cover!! I don't know if its suppose to be attached to the cover itself or if it broke loose. The harmonic balancer was spinning it against the bottom cover and making it VERY noisy!!! I took it off because I didn't see any way of attaching it so it wouldn't make that sound. Glad it was warm today; not for long though...
  19. Haven't had time to do the taken off the belts because my work schedule and weather(rainy) so I'll try this weekend or Monday. I talked to someone at work I they think it might be the cover rubbing against the tensioner. What do you guys think about that?
  20. I changed all the belts with brand new ones; next week I'm going to first take all the belts off and start it up and listen for the any weird sounds. If its still there I'm going to check the t/b tensioner...
  21. Today the pathfinder is still running good no timing issues or leaks; but now I have a sound that sounds like a chirping sound or a light squeak. A couple of time it sound like the timing belt tensioner is making noise I'm lost? I know that some say its the a/c tensioner. I don't know... Tommorow I'm going to take all the belts(a/c, power steering and alt.) to see if the sound is still there.. Anybody ever have the timing belt tensioner go bad in a couple of weeks of use???
