  1. Guess I'm a little more once bitten twice never as apposed to shy.
  2. My comment was based on brand only. Good for you guys and your experience, most of the Joe Shmoe reviews I see for the Kumho's MTs are OK, but my past experiences with their passenger car tires left a bad taste so I would never recommend anything of theirs.
  3. Actually they did change in 90 to a different one (same size, different ends).
  4. The bearings are in the muffler, they allow it to roll sideways if you land on a rock with the muffler.
  5. Not to pour salt on thewound, but Starter belt, that's fricken great!!! Remeber to service the muffler bearings while you are at it.
  6. If you can find them, a set of manual hubs from a 4cyl HB will be the best/strongest you can buy.
  7. Yeah, good luck with those POS. That is the worst tire brand around.
  8. No bashing, just telling the truth. But, believe whatever you want.

From another board: Granted there will probably still be width isues, but if you are gonna trade up.....
  10. Waste of money and space, you can get enough bass out of a 3 way if you buy quality speakers (of course I mean for normal music, not ghetto monkey music).
  11. I sold mine for $200 about 3 years ago. Yeah, don't buy it if you plan to offroad your truck. It will decrease approach angle and can bend into the grill, hood, and fenders if you do bump anything larger than a sapling or shopping cart. As for the tail light guards, aside from the time a tree ripped one off, they have been OK.
  12. Only if you had a system like Rancho sells to control theirs. IIRC the Rancho system usues the manually controlled shocks (knob on shock) but the kit replaces the knob with a servo. If you are wanting to use the stock control system, you need the crappy stock shocks (which you said, your dealer said, they can't get), or (if Redboy is right) the Monroes.
  13. I did something similar with mine, I used thin superglue and let it flow in and set up. Worked for about 2 years but I've got a leak again.
  14. All you need is a pair of wrenches for the adjuster and lock nut, a wrench for the crown nut on the end of the TRE (and a pair of diagonal cutters if you thiink you can pull the pin, the pin is soft metal and I usually just twist the nut off without pulling it, if it is old), and a hammer to tap the side of the knuckle to pop the taper loose. A piece of pipe might be nice for added leverage on the wrench for the adjuster/lock nut as they can be pretty snug.
  15. It is REALLY hard to actually break a TRE. Yeah, they'll get loose and wobble, but even then the shaft would bend before the ball joint in it would break apart. $280, I would be rolling on the floor laughing at them if they told me that. For a $20 part and an allignment, wow.
  16. Yeah, they have plastic adapter plates that hold wht they call a 5x7, but they are really like a 4.5x6.5 stock. You can yank that adapter piece and make just about any size fit in the front with some MDF as a new adapter plate.
  17. If I did it again I would probably go 3" over 2". I used a Performance Accessories kit from AC since they swap in the right sized bolts for the rear on the later model Pathys.
  18. Actually I have, and what you call "pleasant" makes my body hurt.
  19. They are legal, but the ones made now (at least the ones available in the US) are worthless. Actually any made since about '98 are, FCC changed regulations on them and they just don't have the range. I have one from '95 that can detect about 5 miles out. It sits in a drawer these days as I have no need to speed more than like 7 over. No, Ohio is government po-pos. To whoever said they(sports cars) are pretty, well, I can look at someone elses if I really want to look at one. As for bells and whistles and "luxury", I don't want that crap in my vehicle.
  20. With upgraded steering, go with 32s. The Crapmini steering will fail eventually, but it won't get limp and loose like the stock setup will.
  21. Another vote on hold it longer, due to drain back or evap. Mine will take every bit of 45 seconds if I haven't used it in a while.
  22. That is the only "new" thing I would come close to buying myself. All you sports car lovers, how fast do they go at 65mph?
  23. That is possible, but not cheap or practical for anything but offroad use (and with the way that one sits, mud only for it). No, it is not a lift kit, it is a complete drivetrain swap. That is pretty much a Exploder body on a full custom frame, and drivetrain.
