  2. Been quite some time but updated/upgraded the pathfinder since the last time I worked on it. I purchased some Warn Manual hubs for it as well as Method MR309 Grids in titanium gray on sale with 4.75” bs. The hubs went on super easy and I didn’t have to change my stock studs out as they were plenty long, I know people in the past had too but in my case I didn’t. With 265/70r17 tires that are a bit worn down I did still have ample room between the strut and the tire. With the new wheels I took off my wheel spacers so I am currently not running any spacers just solely the wheel. Driving around with the hubs unlocked you can tell a difference that there is less front end drag and that you can coast farther without having to be on the gas all the time. Nice little touches to the pathfinder in my opinion! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. I would start by pulling the belt and checking that the pulley spins without obvious play, noise, or tight spots. I would try cold-starting it with the belt completely off to see if the noise goes away. If it does, you're on the right track. If not, your princess is in another castle. If the bearings are fine, but something's still squealing, you might try a different brand of belt before taking the clutch apart. The service manual doesn't even show that there is a bearing. I assume it's pressed into the pulley, and would come off the compressor snout with it, then come out of the pulley with a press (or a hammer and a socket). If the bearing is roached, chances are it's an off-the-shelf part that you could look up by the numbers on the sides. Before tracking down the bearing, examine the clutch and pulley to make sure they're not worn out, too.

  6. I suspect there's more info for mounting hydro steer to a D44 on forums for vehicles that came with D44s, or more commonly get D44s swapped into them. If you're thinking of using the stock steering pump, and have a spec for the forklift pump (or a pressure limit on valves or hoses) to compare it against, the service manual says the WD21 steering pump is supposed to make 1109-1194 PSI at idle. (The R50 pump is rated for 1251-1337 PSI, though it specs this as "maximum pressure" rather than "at idle," so it could be the same pump for all I know.) I have no idea how big orbital valves are, but there's not much room to work with where the steering box is now. I guess you could put it just about anywhere you can run lines to, though, and with the IFS out of the way, you may have a lot more room for activities. The best way to do pictures here is to host elsewhere and link them in, unfortunately.
