Anyone have a good way of getting the mileage from a Path Finder that's in the junkyard that has no battery or ignition key? I can get a jump box for power, just no way of turning on the ignition to read the digital mileage on the speedometer. Sometimes it's nice to know the mileage of a vehicle before buying certain parts.

Back in ‘02-‘05 ish that kind of stuff was around but that went away some time ago. Access holes are handy even if doing you’re doing your own fluids.

The LEDs help a lot. Better make sure you have them OFF if you’re trying to preserve your night eyes though.. I don’t have a pic of the front seats illuminated by the dome but it is more than enough light to do whatever. If you haven’t already ordered your dome bulbs then look at these first. I literally just ordered mine last week. Maybe they’ll be available again soon. Anyway, the warm white color temp is awesome. It’s whiter than the stock bulbs but not blue at all. Superbrightleds.com has colored BA9 bulbs for our map lights, if you’re looking for a solution to keep your night eyes. I got red LEDs for mine but now I’m reading that green and even blue are better than red for night eyes and enemy detection. Blue resembles the moon and green resembles moon light reflected from leaves, and red just resembles an uninformed person.. I did put a neutral white BA9 in the passenger map light and it puts out more than enough light for the driver when I’m not trying to preserve my night eyes and I just need light. Edit: I turned down the exposure a little too much on this photo.. I was trying to match what I was actually seeing with my eyes and I went a tiny bit too far, not much but a little.

I find it really interesting that they didn't make skids for R50 - it was sold and used in the bush for multiple countries - maybe just not the US? Do the sfcreations skids have oil changing access holes for the engine, trans,and transfer? that's a must for me.....most auto shops will lose/screw up anything that has to come off. My front plastic air dam only has two bolts holding it in heh

This is great stuff. What's the width of the plate? What's the thickness? Is that steel or aluminum?

Downside of spacers is they move the range of articulation further down, so the CV's can potentially reach an angle where they get damaged. With AC springs they maintain the factory range of movement, however they cannot go to an angle higher than factory, so they cannot get damaged simply by drooping too far. If you do decide to "cheap out" and go with spacers, I would highly recommend sfcreation.com. He's a guy on the forum here and makes a great product.

Just picked up a 1998 QX4 auction mystery special. I needed a vehicle for the winter and to get up the mountains where the people aren't. Came with good tread on stock sized tires, but I'm going to upgrade to be a little more trail capable before next spring, I.e. lift and tires. 1-1/2 - 2" seems about right without getting serious and ruining driveability, and I think 32s are about right with that. Most of this thread uses AC as is I'm sure the preference, but I'm thinking of cheaping out and getting spacers on eBay. Anything wrong with that on a beater? TIA!
