tecciball
My transfer case is leaking a bit. I noticed it when I was rotating my tires. How big of a deal is this? I have not seen any fluid puddling under the truck, so I think it is just seaping out at both the back and bottom points. Please advise. I have successfully changed my O2 sensor, thanks help and advice from this board, so thanks again.

Trainman
I think that is your rear differential, not the transfer case. The T case is bolted to the transmission and will have two drive shafts coming out of it. Make sure your plugs are tight. Did you bang it at all? Any scrapes on it? Filthy Luker
Dude... you need to ditch the axle and put a a rockwell underneath.. those never leak I was just joking about it with my friend.. his D44 is not under his truck and it's leaking already... Ford POS. Seriously though, first of all that's not a transfer case, but your differential, pumpkin, pig.. etc. And that leak is semi-normal Just next time you change yer diff fluid put some sealant on the threads. Nothing to really loose sleep over. Edited April 3, 2006 by Filthy Luker

88pathoffroad
That's not a leak, it's just leftover fluid on the housing from the last time the plug was pulled and the fluid checked.
