T-Max Winches?

I'm getting ready to buy a winch, and I'm doing some comparative shopping.

I've looked at:

Warn XD9000 - Too rich for my blood

Mile Marker SE9500 - Have some negative experiences with Mile Marker stuff, but not their electric winches

T-Max EW9000 - never seen or had any experiences with T-max

I know that the Warn is probably the best one out of the three, but it's also $800, and for that price, I'd rather buy a locker.

I'm looking to spend around $500. I can get either the MM or the T-Max for about that price. I've compared stats, and they seem to be relatively comparable on statistics. The one outlier is the T-Max has a substantially higher HP rating than the MM.

Anyone have any experiences with either and can shed some light on these in terms of quality, warranty service, reliability, etc?

TIA :aok:

i think you wouldn't mind saving couple hundos though, would you?

Not at all! But, if it takes me 8 weeks to get a defective product again, and then have all kinds of trouble getting them to take it back, then it's not worth the hassle!

I have only bought once from them.. the shocks for the Pathy ...which I had no issues with.

*well they did send the wrong SS, but that was likely because I may not have been clear enough... I order Pathy fronts and Yota rears, they sent a Yota SS

I did not notice till a couple months later, by then to late... just gave it to a friend with a jeep.. since it also fit her year/model. :aok:

hmm will they price match a printed out sale price? Or can you order online and pick up locally?

Tax.. that's a B***H... deal with that all the time.

Randy's Ring & Pinion offered me an awesome deal on a locker for the yota (willing to work one up for the Pathy too) a couple weeks ago, but with tax it was more than I could find else where

They knocked $100 off their online price when I went to the (former, no closed) local 4wp to order my Rockcrawlers and MTs. Online package deal was $710 at the time, but had to pay shipping(hence going to the local store). Wasn't expecting that deal, but hey

I have had good experiences with 4wp. They will honer the online prices along with anyone else's price.

From what I understand T-Max winches are made in the same factory as MM. My Buddies with the with the T_Max have had good luck with them.
