I've finally decided to put a body lift on my truck..and finally have put money aside to do it.....myself. woo! now, what do I need to know..

longer cables and hoses?

do-able for a first timer?

need bigger shocks than stock ones? (I'm buying new ones, but I need to know what size)

what else??

A whole helluva lot of time, lots of beer and at least one friend...oh and a garage incase it rains. And if you are as unlucky as I was a hole in the ground to stick a piece of steel in the ground to winch the body backwards by the tire carrier to make it sit right on the frame....

No, you shouldn't really need longer hoses and stuff, but the kit's instructions will cover that. Yes, it can be done by a first-timer, as I did mine by myself and it was my first body lift. No, you don't need new shocks, as a body lift has nothing to do with suspension. Hence, BODY lift, not SUSPENSION lift.

Finally, as probably the next 10 guys will end up posting, try searching for something like "body+lift+install" on the forum. ;)
