I have had problems with my throttlebody for ever. Has anyone changed to a carb.? If it wasn't for the tank thing I would put it on Propane. $425.00 per injector is to much.

I have only heard of one Pathy with a carb.. a coworker bought a used 87 and said that it was carbed... I let him look under my trucks hood so he could see what they were supposed to be and he insisted that it was the same engine, only with a carb. I planned on going over to his house to check it out (he drives company vehicle to and from work) but could not make it before he sold the truck.

Although I do not know of any carbs that will fit them (you will also have to find a compatible distributor) there "might" be something out there to offer the ability. I was seriously considering it when I was having all kinds of problems with mine, but I traced that back to a bad computer

Thanks everyone , I think I will try to find a 4cyl injector that GrimGreg taulked about

Vic, another option may still be available, if you have no luck or would preferr new ones, PM me and I'll send the info along. I replaced mine some time ago and found them for far less than what the dealer wanted.

*I am not posting this info (yet) because it involves a number and a name.. who I have not talked to yet to see if it's ok. He may have cut me "one hell of a deal" that may not be able to be repeated. But I can look into it again, if need be.

Oh Vic, what area are you in?
