I only have 31" tires, up from the 235's. My speedometer reads about 22 MPH when I am really going 25, and about 60 MPH when I'm really going 71 MPH. I've tested it with police radars and also I've had friends pace me. Why is my speedometer further off than yours, 88? I only have 31" tires.

My Pathy is out by the same 10kph margin through the whole speed scale. Up to 170kph anyway.

wheelman.. that's pretty weard but i think somtimes the same is going on with mine.. somtimes at 70 on the speedo it feels like i am doing at least 80..

you can also do some time trials.. all interstates have these little blue signs on the side that show milage.. they are even to a tenth of a mile.. so if you go 60mph you should cover a mile in 1 minute..

I knew there was something I was forgetting to ask. Doing a body lift do you have to worry about extending brakes lines, fuel filler hose, shift linkages, radiator relocation..etc etc....

On a manual, the gear shifter plugs directly in the top of the tranny... no linkages, and the transfer case shifter is darn near the same way with a bracket for safety of selection; isn't that why people bend them so they can shift the full range ? Remembering mine from when I had it apart, I cant imagine what you could move or adjust...

you'll need to find a longer 4x4 shifter

I just cut the plastic under the rubber boot out about 2-3" and it shifts into 4L just fine, can't even tell it's trimmed under there. It does sit a little low, but I got used to it.

I always wondered what that thing on the front of 88's was.

No, you do not need to extend the brake lines. They are coiled up in the front. Just stretch them out.

Replace the filler hose with one that will fit. Some people extend it by puting tubing in the middle.

Your shifters will be fine. I have a 3" lift and used my standard Pathy shifters. I did have to bend mine to fit though. I moved the gear box forward 65mm so the throttle body could easily be removed.

Radiator?

So, no, yes, no and ?

You'll either have to lower the radiator, trim or remove the shroud (not a good idea), or replace the fan with an electric.

A few folks here have either replaced their fans with one from a Nissan Quest/Mercury Villager minivan or Ford Taurus 3.8L V6. I'm not sure what's available to you, but both work very well and are a lot less $$ than a Flex-a-lite.
