Guest mikenau
Does anyone know if you can install a 2002 Bose Pathfinder Stereo (w/ cassette & cd changer) in a 2001. Are any adpaters needed, or is it a clean connection? The cd changer in my 2001 crapped out with an err2.
DJ Dank
I want to say yes...I don't think there were any major changes between the 01 and 02.
RowOSU
Its a clean fit, did it with my dads
Trainman
Just be ready for the same error code. My 02 Bose 6cd is giving that right now. Check with the dealer for cost on a replacement, in Canada they are offering them at a pretty good deal to try and keep customers happy. The stock Bose unit has a long history of not working very well.
RowOSU
yea... that thing has been quite the challenge.. You can also order the altima 6cd changer and it will plug into the bose cassete/radio...
DJ Dank
Or just go aftermarket!!

JB3829
I'm pretty sure that's not a Bose head unit. It wasn't in my '97 anyway. The speakers are Bose, but the head is actually made by clarion or alpine...I'm not sure. I would scrap it before it stops working(as they normally do) and go aftermarket. vengeful
Nissan head units are manufactured by Clarion. On the Bose units, the innards are different and the speakers and amplifiers are made by Bose.
yowzaeric
I'd suggest going aftermarket.. I'm on my third head unti and I have only 23k on my 04... Glad it's still under warrantee
