Petercan1020
I have an 02 Nissan Pathfinder and I'm putting on new brakes and decided to change the caliper pins on both sides cuz it didn't look like any of them matched does anybody know on this year 2002 Pathfinder if the rubber boot is in the top slide position of the caliper or the bottom position of the caliper I can't find a straight answer
ChemExposure
Do you mean the one with the rubber ring on the inside? That's the top one.Otherwise all 4 of them all have the same rubber boots.Just buy the slider pin kit for a Pathfinder from an auto parts store. Exorpmtech
The little rubber tube usually goes on the bottom. I belive its an 'anti-rattle' device.

Bax03SE
I have no idea where they originally were from the factory, but on mine they're on the bottom. Based on the mixed responses, it sounds like it doesn't really matter.
Citron
If you looked on the parts diagram on any of the dealerships parts stores, like courtesy Nissan, it should show where the peice belongs.
Petercan1020
I looked found nothing
ChemExposure
Mine was definitely on the top. Just take yours out to find out, they're slider pins. Should slide easy lol.Check the brake section of the factory service manual. Everything you probably need to see is in there.
neilca
My calipers have two boots per side. I just bought one of these kits to replace them http://www.ebay.com/itm/Disc-Brake-Caliper-Bushing-Front-Rear-Better-Brake-16043-/222439068811?epid=76090573&hash=item33ca66d48b:g:XrwAAOSw9~5ZOj~R&vxp=mtr
