Nissan Recall

Bought my 2001 Pathfinder 4 weeks ago. Today my hubby noticed a broken coil spring on driver side so I called a Nissan dealer to discuss repair. The dealer informed me of strut tower recall and gave me recall info. My real question is....Is the vehicle allowed to be sold with a major recall that has not be taken care of.

Was it sold from a dealer or a private sale? Private sale, this could be trickier as it would be hard to prove if the PO knew about it. You can sell a vehicle "as is", usually you would declare all damages/repairs to any buyer. This would suggest that you are "allowed" to sell it.

Don't make two threads asking the same question in two different parts of the forum.

The little amount of time you waited between making this thread and making the other thread due could have been spent researching the recall, where you would have found out its for the strut tower. Not the coil.

Don't clutter the forum because you can't wait for an answer. This topic has been throughly covered in all pathfinder forums, so a quick Google search could have got your awnser.

Where I'm from the seller would be responsable for the coil if it was sold with a safety check..and only for thirty days. If you bought it "as is" then that's "what it is". The coil wouldn't be covered under strut recall. I had both tower repaired on my last truck.

A good ol 7 page discussion on this already... I already locked your other thread you started on this and am thinking of doing so here. A quick search would have shown you the coil is NOT recalled, te strut tower rot is the recall issue. And no, one will not and is not the cause of the other.
