squeeking struts

currently running kyb struts, and they cant have more than 10-15000 clicks on them. yet within the past few months they have started squeaking at medium speeds, and hard braking, a little bit of silicone spray seems to stop the squeaking for a couple days at a time, but just wondering what could be causing the squeaking, or if anyone else has had a similar problem? not a huge worry to me cause ill be throwing on a 2 inch ac lift in the new year, but i am curious.

I have the exact same problem, less than 10,000 miles on my KYB struts, OEM bearings and isolators. However I had this issue before, but my suspension needs an overhaul, so it may be control arm bushings or something else?

 

But if someone knows, can someone please post!

Were the bearings replaced with the struts? I had a squeak that turned out to be due to a bad bearing.

good point, i dont believe the bearings were replaced,

Could you post a video with the noise? I also have a noise from struts and they were replaced recently, without new bearings.

Mine had a very annoying squeek until i changed to OEM bearings

My struts probably squeak...but I can't hear them over all the other squeaks my rig makes now.

I had a squek before, went to OEM bearings, still squeaked, do they need to be greased?

it stopped doing it now that i pressure washed all of the frozen silicone lube off (works to stop squeeking for 3 days) silicone dont work too good at minus 15, im sure itll come back thoe, if and when it does ill upload i video
