Imorales321
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and have already gained a lot of information about my 95 Pathy, so thanks! My pathfinder has the door open light on and I'm pretty sure all the doors are closed. I've already done multiple sweeps around opening and closing all the doors. Could this be anything else or have you had the same problem? I definitely don't wanna be driving with anything open. Thanks in advance for the help. ~Isaac
92Path_68CJ
The light on the dash I assume? Did you check the all doors and make sure all the knobs/sensors are working?
nunya
the most common cause I seem to recall is the sensor in the rear hatch not pressing in enough. Spacing it so it presses further in solves many people problem from my memory banks. I'm sure theres a thread around somewhere with some pics or at least a write up of some form. I'll see what I can dig edit: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/16098-wd21-rear-hatch-sensor/page__p__264336__hl__+flickering%20+light?do=findComment&comment=264336 http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/9688-door-light-on-when-door-is-closed-94-pathfinder/page__hl__%20flickering%20%20light theres a couple older discussions on it that might give you some info Edited August 25, 2012 by nunya ad links
Trogdor636
I think Nunya is correct on your issue. I shimmed up my rear striker using 2 washers on each side and havent ever had the problem again.
Slartibartfast
Mine doesn't have that sensor (not helpful lol) but it does have one in the tire carrier, which recently started acting up. I pulled it out, pulled the rubber cover off, and stuffed a little circle of rubber into it as a shim. Been working great since.
