Missing screws in engine body

I just noticed that theare are two missing screws in engine body. Is it normal or maybe previous owner did some repair?

I also have nothing in those screw holes. I'd say it's normal.

bracket to attach piston pull back springs (for quicker revs) is missing...

Huh? Mine has a black box attached there that says "Hitachi" and "chikmagnet". I think it's broken though, all it attracts is mud.

On the driver's side of the block there is a little tab with a hole in it that I used to attach my block ground to with a brass nut/bolt and 4 gauge wire to it then to the firewall. Helped with window motor speed, light brightness too.

 

I also noticed those holes when I was searching for a good ground location. Mine are open as well, obviously.

I would always use stainless on exterior nuts/bolts, you grounded to the firewall??

they must have changed over the years.. my 04 has a Johnson Rod connected in that spot.

 

previous years have had both a Flux Capacitor, Kuhneutson Valves, and Adjustable Power-bands.

There is nothing missing, the replies that make no sense are just people joking around. These screw holes can be used as a ground, but there is nothing there from the factory.

Those holes are for different mounting options in different vehicles. Your good.

I actually glanced at these holes today while under the hood and my car does have something in those holes. It was a bracket for a hardpipe that ran across the front of the engine, I dont think I followed it to find out what the pipe came/went from anyways

I lied, the hardpipe is at the bottom of your picture. These holes must be hidden under the engine cover

I was able to see the holes without taking off the engine cover. Perhaps you were looking in the wrong place.

Well my engine cover isnt factory and does cover more, or Im a blind idiot. Both possible
