TooQForYou
http://www.fueldoctorusa.com/ Just saw a commercial for this. First thought was "That's bogus." Then I went to the website and they supposedly have the stuff to back it up, plus a money-back guarantee. Thoughts?
k9sar
snake oil. and "money back" is usually less shipping and handling so they make money either way. Quote: I decided today to take one apart and see just what is inside. I found two Zener diodes, 3 resistors, 2 capacitors 3 leds, and one unidentified empty sounding grey box labeled D4(as in diode). There are some caveats, of course. It’s “for use with vehicles that are at least two years old and have 12-volt systems,” and it appears that the claims are based on testing performed on one vehicle: “An independent automotive testing service showed the unit increased a test vehicle’s average fuel efficiency from 23.8 to 28.1 miles per gallon in two weeks.” Edited March 10, 2011 by k9sar
TooQForYou
Snake oil is what I'm thinking also. But I try not to be too quick to judge so I thought I'd get others' input as well.
MY1PATH
a normal Capacitor will clean up your power for you as well. All its really doing as absorbing power spikes and providing additional power when there is a short heavy draw. Results will vary on every make and model based on power output and existing electronics etc... True gains are most likely minimal if any. GrimGreg
You'd probably be better off just adding a large cap inline of the battery cable.
Tungsten
you would probably be better off with putting on one of these
