i have a question, the compresion rods the are on the lower control arm in the back were they mount to the frame, i am changing the bushing and what is the easiest way to do it? so far on the passenger side i have the nut that goes on the rod that goes threw the frame and the first bolt on but i cant get the other bolt in, i have been prying on the bar and i come close but i still cant get the bolt in? is there an easy way to do it? i am putting moog bushings in so they are stiffer than the stock ones. there is propably an easier way but i am just to stupid to figure it out. it was easy to get it apart kinda

Loosen up the big nut on the front of your conrol arm and unbolt your lower BJ

you can hang the knuckle by sticking a plank our something about 1~1.5" between the upper bumpstop and UCA

doing this should give you a little more axial play in the LCA. also, If you haven't already the T-bar should be loose to make things eaiser.

Wow, all I did (with the truck sitting on its tires) was undo the large nut at the end, then the two bolts that go into the LCA, replaced the bushings and reassembled in the reverse order. No problems or fuss what so ever...

X2 no need to unbolt the ball joints or lower the tbars.

yes, but I'm assuming he lifted the vehicle to do the job in witch case the arms posture is more likely to change when the rod is out.

...and some people just get unlucky I guess.

x3 when I did mine I did one side jacked up, one side tire on the ground just to see if it made a difference. was a cake walk with hand tools both ways, unbolt-remove-reverse procedure to re-assemble. no ball joint/torsion bar touching involved
