zelix
Have been working on this for the past month, i am in school, and have posted before on my problems with cash, and my clutch etc. I'm 16 and its been a month since ive started the disassembling of truck, and were finally there! The facility is at my school, where i am enrolled in the auto class. also found some nice rot right underneath drivers side floorboard.... ^^^ WTH is the white stuff ??? also the release bearing, the main reason for replacing clutch, is COMPLETELY SEIZED, will not move at all, unless you take a hammer to it. so how is my floor rot? anyway to patch that or anything? GrimGreg
The floor rot is typical. You can either just cut the rot back to good metal and then slap some sheet metal over the hole (most people do some sort of repair like this). Or you can order factory stamped floor pans and replace the rusted ones (lots of cutting and welding involved there). Since you have such easy access to it at the moment I would patch it from the outside.
jj big shoe
What!?! I had to swap my clutch out in my one car garage all by myself! I didn't have any fancy-pants tranny jack much less some snazzy lift, I was creeping around on a cardboard box under the truck on the cement floor! I couldn't even jack the truck up high enough to get the trans completely out from under it, had to squeeze in between everything and work on it all hunkered-over like! You dadgum kids with yer Ipods and yer Mountain Dew have it easy nowadays! Dagnabbit, I'm all fired up now and Doc said I have to watch my blood pressure so I'm going to take my Metamucil and lie down. Dang kids...wasn't like this when I was young...none of this crap was going on until women got the right to vote...

Kingman
Lucky you to have a full shop with a lift to do the work! I had to lay on 120F+ black asphalt in the middle of summer to do my engine swap, and a transmission swap in another Pathfinder! Oh and, uh, what's with that ridiculous exhaust tip? Is your name Kyle? Truck looks clean though, and that white stuff is just corrosion on the aluminum. Nothing to worry about.

I would have put one on there anyway though! in all seriousness the stock pipes IMO are disgusting.

It isn't just a surface effect... The quality of the picture is limited. Do you have access to a camera?? B
