CB Radio Mounting

Hey guys,

Anyone have a CB in their r50? If so, where and how do you have it mounted. Haven't gotten one yet but I will be soon(ish). Just wondering what everyones thoughts are on the best spot for it.

Passenger side on center console.

 

 

Works well, as I can quickly access it when needed, and it is not really in the way if I have a passenger.

right below the stereo. would look better if mine was a full size cb. i just screwed the top plate of the cb to the bottom of the stereo mount kit, then screwed the cb plate back to the cb.

not to rain on you but there is already a thread with dozens of CB's in r50's and wd21's

consoles, glove boxes, overhead, underseat... you name it. check it out.

In dash. My 6 disc had died (like many others) and I replaced it with a single disc head unit. I modified the OEM dual radio bracket, because I was going for looks on this install:

 

 

 

 

The cb has worked great for the past year of use - Cobra WXSTII 18 ($54 plus $38 in cable/mount/antenna).

mine... I was too lazy to figure out a place..so I bought one that the hand device is the cb... just a small connection box that was hidden under the center console.

Thanks for all the reply's guys....my 6 disk in dash is dying as well I was thinking of going with double din replacement but I might reconsider that now. Fleury's I do like that set up as well I'll have to keep that in mind. Thanks again all.
