cool, another potential use for those vents; I eventually pan to plumb one to my hidden snorkel. The hood hinge is in the way but I'll find a way arround that... th_snorkelside.jpg

as for rain, I was conna make a small cowl for each vent.

So, what is the purpose of those grilles? My truck (91) is missing one entirely...
Keep debris and leaves out of the interior ventilation system.
If enough debris falls into the ventilation system, the blower resistor that is inside the box will light it all up and you will have one smoking dashboard.
