rear cargo light

What trips the rear cargo light to come on when the hatch is open? Sometimes it comes on and sometimes it dont and will flicker when driving on occasion. Driving me nuts and want to fix it before I rip it out.

think I've read the switch it's near the hinges under the headliner but not 100% sure

The switch is in the latch behind the handle, do a search it has been covered on here before.

Drove me nuts too. The fix...somewhere on here...didn't work for me . I just disconnected it.

Found the problem with it. The pink and white wire goes to the handle and grounds out to turn the light. Not that bad to fix.
