AeroSync
I replaced the brake pads (4 wheel discs) on my Pathfinder a few weeks ago, and whenever I press the brakes, it feels like if they were floating. For example, I can be going 25 MPH, and slam on the brakes, and it takes a good long distance to stop, about 5 yards, and while doing this, my brake pedal is on the floor. What can be causing this, as I do not feel safe driving around with weird brakes? I can press the brake pedal for about 1" before it actually starts to slow down. Kingman
What parts exactly did you replace? Saying you replaced "the brakes" doesn't mean a thing. It could be your brake booster loosing vacuum, your brake booster check valve, your brake lines might have air in them, which falls under the category of what you replaced... Nismojunky
air in your system keep bleeding the system untill you have your brakes back let them gravuty bleed for a bit to follow the fsm as to the order to bleed them and if its drums they could need adjusting

adamzan
Try bleeding the proportioning valve again, if you didn't already do it a couple times. Its a bitch to bleed.

Precise1
Towards the rear of the truck on the passenger side inside frame rail is the ABS unit, make sure to bleed that as well. I don't know about the proportioning valve as I do not have 4 wheel disk... B
