hi i have a 95 pathfinder im haveing issues swith the trims or weather stripping that comes loose (see pic below) the one on the windsheild not that bad i pop it in here and there but the one on the passenger rear is always comming out. what can i use to fix it? i havent tried going to the dealer. im thinking of getting some at the junk yard. can i use some type of silicone?

You can try to glue it into place with some silicone. This is a common issue, but it is more cosmetic than anything else. If you can find good trim and remove it without damaging it from a junk yard, by all means, do so. Grab all you can and sell it here!! Replacement from the dealer is crazy expensive, something like $100-180 each piece, depending what it is. I plan to look into some rubber softener/reconditioning products first.

I have heard using heat will soften it back up, but getting the right amount of heat to soften it without actually melting it or burning it is the hard part.

I fixed the windshield one by changing my windshield, glued a new molding in.(frined that worked for a glass company hooked me up with a little 'extra') Not very helpful but it solved my issue.
