92 pathfinder is puttering or missing

of course when my 95 pathfinder messes up and the other car gonna mess up to which is a 92 pathfinder just started sputtering todayu and i can smell the exhaust is this an o2 sensor issue?

i dont have a check engine light on my dash. might be the fuel filter it would do a sluggish shake but when im at a traffic light it shakes to. in park it will miss alittle but it will also do alittle sputter in park when u rev the engine too. thanks for the reply

you use the guide that is posted in the garage section and watch the flashing lights on your ECU.

Yep, you don't need a CEL to check for error codes. The O2 sensor doesn't always trigger the CEL. You can also check the resistance of the O2 sensor, 1-1000 ohms IIRC.

 

Check/wiggle the wiring at the MAF, it can't hurt...
