maybe weird ?

Recommended Posts

It was brought to my attention that in order to lift my stock 88 xe i'd have to lengthen the brake lines and other issues like that otherwise it would cause obvious adverse effects. Is this true? Can I do a lift of 3 or less and leave everything the same as far as brake lines and such. Does it make a difference if i do a body lift verse a susp lift concerning these issues?

Thanks for helping a noob!

Body lifts require some changing of the radiator hoses and fittings (usually), bumper relocation, and I think a steering shaft extension.

I don't remember anyone saying anything about brake line problems with their lifts, but then again I don't remember too much

BOTH BL and an SL more than 3" will reqire extended parking brake lines.

MY 3" lift I used 26" socks and @ full drop I needed to relocate my e-brake mounts 1" lower as well as make a tab to move the Rear brake t-fitting up 1" from the axle. if you use 24" shocks (normal for 3" lift) you will not need this.
