Ok all you fellow gear gurus! :crossedwires:

 

I have a '91 Ford Ranger I'm getting fixed up. Only paid $150 for it and trying to get it up and running to turn a profit so I can get my Pathy going again. I'm putting F150 coils in the front for a 2" lift and add-a-leafs in the rear. I've been recommended on getting alignment brackets to correct the front. The only one's I can find are through JCWhitney for $218.00. Curious to know if anyone out there knows of some I can get out of a salvage yard? Like ones from a F150 or something? I'm really not wanting to put to much money into the truck since I need to put more into the Pathy. Thanks again as always for all your help and knowledge! :beer:

Yeah, like a pair of scissors made in hell or something.

 

I saw my buddy's B2 when he flexed the front out, looks weird as hell. Sitting level it looks like a solid axle but once some flex starts it's like wtf...I always thought my Explorer was solid front axle, because I never took the time to flex out the front before.

 

I think the full size trucks are still full axle, so I don't think anythign from an F series truck will work on a Ranger.

early 96 (with seperate vent windows) and older f-150s have the retarded TTB but I don't know if they will work for what you are trying to do. Your thinking of the Super Dutys Kingman, the lighter ones still have IFS, thy just switched to control arm front ends.

Ahh. See I wasn't sure if all of the F series had a solid axle up till '96 or not. :aok:

Thanks for all the info. RedPath found a cheaper price for the pivoting brackets, which is what I'm needing. Not too sure if I'm even gunna worry about it if I'm not gunna have the truck for very long.
