jgt
When we repainted the truck, we sanded the sticker on the door w/ the production date. I need a part and some fit pre-7/92 and then another part after that date. Is there another way to tell? The truck was bought new in 10/92 so it could be either. thanks
nunya
pre 7/92 would be titled and have a v.i.n. for a 1992 and post would be a 1993 if I remember correctly. It's right around that time the model year changes.
Precise1
Contact a dealership with the VIN and ask. If they get wierd about it, just pretend you are trying to get the paint code or something... B
GrimGreg
The only real change in that era was the timing belt and that didn't happen till mid model year 93 (ie in 93, not 92). My 93 is a pre switch build with the 60k t-belt.

Thanks, the vin and emblem no. has no clues.
nunya
I am not 100% on that, I know thats about the time for model year changes, 10th diget of the v.i.n. is the year, n=1992 p=1993 i belive.
Precise1
Did ya call the dealership? Perhaps you could ask nicely of this fine gentleman? http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=18653 Maybe send some nice pictures of Hawaii (Pathy shots a bonus) for his desk top or something? (He's in Texas, so I'm sure he could use some beauty... ) B
