I have a 95 Pathfinder that has a bogging issue, if I punch it.. it hauls the mail, no smoke or wierdness however if I drive it normal it sluggs out at around 1500rpm and then picks up nice and then hits 2nd gear sluggs out then picks up nice and if I go highway driving it has almost a rythmic bog when holding the throttle steady...Its had new plugs (MKG) spaced at.032 ,wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter ,air filter and I also cleaned the MAF I did notice by spark plug 6 there is a plug hanging there much like the plug that goes into the MAF it still has the clip but cant find out where it goes..I fell in love with this truck and want the bogging to stop any help would be great this truck runs and drives too good for it to be major but have run out of ideas

try unplugging the O2 sensor under the hood and see if it improves driveability. You could check all the vacuum lines for cracks too. Your fuel pressure regulator is also back there by plug 6. the vacuum line is prone to slipping off or getting bumped off when you change that 6 plug

glad i could help alaskan. you can drive your truck around with the sensor unplugged, but it may adversely affect your fuel economy; keep and eye on it. Sometimes a broken o2 sensor is caused by an improper air/fuel mixture.

you can replace the sensor and the truck should run good when you plug the new one in. If you had a cel; you will need to reset the computer. To do this, unhook your battery terminals, and push all the buttons inside the car; move windows etc, try to get the last of the electric current out of the system. leave the battery off for about 5-10 minutes to be sure, then hook it all back up and start the truck and go for a test drive. The CEL shouldn't come back on unless there is another problem with the system.

That's a common symptom for the older trucks and it almost always is the o2 sensor. Just follow the wire up from the exhaust till you find the plug.

Are the service managers for all dealerships named mike? The one here is too

Just a reminder, one of the best first steps of trouble shooting is checking the ECU for codes. A lot of the time it will dispay O2 (or other issues) and eliminated guesswork for the first item to be R&R'd.

near sea level it'll run all day but going high will suck you dry.
