Hey guys all weekend I didnt drive my truck and when i came to start it on Sunday night she was completely dead.... I give her a boost and she runs.... When I rev High... 3.5-4rpm the oil light, battery light and handbreak light came on. Drove her for a while parked her and in the morning she was dead again.... any suggestions on what I should check first? Im guessing the battery....

If someone could help me with a couple of possibilities and ways to test would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Alternator is probably going out.

Either that, or your battery is no longer holding a charge, but I'd be more inclined to think it's the alternator.

It could be the battery. Check to see the voltage at the battery with it running. It should be up around 13-14v Then shut it off, and check the voltage. If it drops significantly (under 12v) with it off, it's the battery not holding a charge.

Yes it is the battery IMHO.

I had similar symptoms when my battery was on its way out, didn't hold a charge and guages acted funny. Even affected the Temp gauge.

Yes to all the above, low voltage will cause gage/ecu wierdness. Follow Simons advice, this bound to be one or the other. Are all contacts clean, including body ground end?
