Anyone in the montreal region willing to help me rebuild? wouldnt mind tossing a couple dollars around... so busy with the job these days will be hard for me to make all that time... and i wouldnt be able to keep the 2 trucks in a location for more then a week

Ya I found one in Montreal mint condition, original engine only 110 000km... The guy told me it was his dads and sat in the garage most of its life. I couldnt believe the condition. Only downside for me its automatic, love the manual... not sure if I can go back to driving automatic. Does anyone know of someone in the Montreal region that would be willing to do the swap? Last time i got a quote at a garage on my first project they wanted 3500 to do the suspension, exhaust system and body lift...

Well I don't got space to put it anywhere myself at the moment... and its costing me 10$ a day to leave it where it is. Its a government owned impound lot... I'm just wondering if it might be worth bringing to my 4x4 garage and leaving it there for a month or 2 untill i got money to reinvest in the project. I guess its moments like this where I kick myself in the ass for getting 1 way insurance

Well guys I thank everyone for the support and kind words, and honestly after this accident and everyone walking away with out a skratch is just more of a reason for me to invest into another one! Now that I've gotten all the bull@!*% out of the way I need to decide what to do with the truck, it sits at the impound lot... Should I take it out, and remove the pieces? I got calmini suspension tables, 3inch suspension lift, 3 inch body lift, pacesetter headers, custom exhaust, catalytic, muffler... new transmission, new clutch, they just replaced the engine with one with 120 000km with all new sensors on it, bilstein steering stablizer... Anyhow alot of work went into this, what do you guys recommend I do with it?

Well everyone, after 4 years of working hard on my truck and almost getting it to where I want... she sacrificed her life for mine. I was a victim of the date rape drug GHB, someone had slipped it into a girl im seeings drink and I took a couple swigs from it... next memory I have is waking up in the hospital. I have never driven my truck drunk, but this time I have 0 memory of getting in, how the accident happened etc. I had gone missing for about 2 hours and they found me in an area I dont ever think ive been in.... I am happy to be walking today as the truck flipped on her side and slide for about 3-4 house lengths. I dont think the truck can be repaired at this point which is sad as its got new clutch, transmission and motor

Checked the wires all looks good, I'm guessing its just coincidence it happened after I changed oil and cleaned the car... I've already gone back 5 times since they replaced the engine as every sensor and relay was jammed/broken. All my wires are new so it shouldnt be that, I called today and i'm going directly to a nisaan stealer to get an inspection done! Im really getting alot out of this insurance claim, 8 weeks of fighting but everything will be brand new by the end of it lol By chance having a smaller oil filter, could it cause this? I have one from a toyota 4 runner on the truck, but its always been like that since I havent installed my oil relocation kit...

the truck seems to be backfiring.... it was running perfectly last week it just started happening randomly

Hey guys, as some of you know I recently put in a newer engine into my truck (long story short a garage blew my engine). Anyhow it was running fine...then yesterday I changed my oil, and cleaned my car and now upon acceleration I am getting alot of shaking... I can feel it on my shifter and on the highway my steering wheel wobbles alot. I am also hearing a difference with my exhaust...but for wtv reason the truck idles fine... and once reached over 2.5 rpm it cruises perfectly. let me know what you think

Hey guys tomorrow I'm going to do a bit of general maintenance and wanted to know your advice on a couple things. I have a 95 pathfinder lifer 3 inch suspension and 3 inch body with 33inch. 1. What type of grease is best for the torsion bars/how should I apply it? 2. Are there any specific parts in the front suspension that I can grease as I'm getting alot of squeaking.. (whats the best product for this) 3. Any recommendations on types of break fluid/power steering fluid? Thanks everyone

Well after 5-6 weeks of going at it with the insurance company I have finally gotten somewhere. They wanted to declare my truck as a total loss! hence the 5-6 weeks of fighting lol. They have now agreed to give me a used engine with 140 000km on it and 2 years warranty. my old engine had 300 000km so im not to upset! figured id keep you guys posted

haha, well I found a good place to rebuild my engine, does anyone know how much a complete job like that should average? to remove and place back/rebuild. I also have headers, guessing they will need to get the gasket kit for them to? They gave me a 2011 mazda 3 as a rental with less then 2000km haha! all their @!*% cars were already taken

Well the engine is fried.... they are doing a rebuild for me under their insurance. Got a @!*%box accent as a loaner until its done. bahhh!

Also is there a fuse or a relay for this? it looks like i have a missing relay in my fuse box to... this is maybe why my oil light never came on...

Its a local garage called Freds Garage. I know where it plugs in, i see the input but i dont see the wire to go in there....I have a picture of where the wire used to be but it seems to have been moved.

Hey guys I haven't been on in awhile! But I got a little story and need your advice. Brought my truck in for the first time in my life for an oil change (I have always done it myself), I bring it to a place I go to for repairs I normally can't do in my driveway due to lack of tools. Anyhow the guy didn't put the filter on properly.... I'm driving and all of a sudden all the lights come on and my car stalls. Now I tow it to the garage and leave it until monday, I get there when it opens and we put oil in it check the levels its fine, turn it on all the oil comes out and I turn it off immediately. But already I hear ticking from the engine... it made a horrible noise when it stalled the first time. We bring it in and of course the filter is not on properly its spitting oil everywhere... we replace it, put oil in it and it runs but still ticking in the engine... I also notice my oil sensor is not plugged in. Right now the inspector is coming to check it for insurance purposes to replace the engine or wtv the it may be. Which leads me to my question, I know my sensor was there I plugged it myself, where would the oil sensor wire be coming from? a harness? If someone can help me locate maybe I can see i it was cut by them. Hey guys my dad just got an Xterra and hes been ranting and raving about AMSOIL fluids...oils transmission fluids etc... what do you guys think of it... I live in montreal therefore I get alot of cold weather and my transmission is taking it hard, i want to flush all my fluids and put topgrade stuff... Can you guys help me decide what is best? and also what quantities I need for all the different fluids! Thank you in advance

well the issue is coming back and my fluid seems to be lower.... i dont get how, no leaks anywhere... could the cold me doing this to cheap break fluid?

How would I got about checking this? i searched the forum but couldnt find something specific... now it seems fine i let the car sit in the sun for couple hours... I think maybe with all the salting on the roads it gets bad...

Hey guys i'm from montreal and today its about -30 outside. Truck started perfectly... drove it for awhile then my ABS and Handbreak light came on... my break fluids look fine. Any reason this is happening? My dad has an xterra and he had this issue in the cold due to some defective sensors. Let me know what you think could be the issue
