Exhaust troubles

Just wondering if anyone with a cut off exhaust have trouble in deep puddles? Last year my tailpipe got crushed by a rock when i was four wheeling, so i cut it off right after the muffler. This year when i have gone wheeling the muffler fills up with water and the truck stalls. It will start right back up but there is tons of steam pouring out of the muffler. And it bogs down quite a bit. I was just curious because ive seen several trucks with nothing after the muffler.

I've sat the Pathy in a hot spring with the tailpipe under water and it never filled up the muffler. Weird.

I have had that happen on a patrol that I had because the tail pipe was really short. I would get one back on, this would be a great time to use a bigger pipe.

Might try drilling a drain hole in your muffler, just a 1/8" by the rear flange at the bottom.

All the minerals (incl salt) in a hot spring cant be too friendly on a vehicle can it?

I soppose if you wash it well when yer done wheelin it don't matter tho. just my $.02

Alright problem solved, i took a section of the old tailpipe, welded it back on, so now it goes up and dumps out over the rear axle.
