My new toy...and an old one

This is my new Colt AR-15 (.223), equiped with a bull-barrel, Nikon scope, recoil reducer, etc. Of course it's registered though, just not to me - I bought it from a dead guy (I don't even know if it had been registered to that old guy either). At 100 yards sitting down with the bipod I can pretty well hit the same hole everytime & standing at 100 yards I can hit the 10 ring (the one right outside of the "bullseye") or X everytime.

This shot was taken right as I shot it, after the sight-in shooting the target at 100 yards. *Check out the shell flying in the air (it looks like it's on my nose)

She's a 1948, the year she was manufactured & also bought by my grandfather (for $48), Winchester lever-action 30-30. Open sights & all. God I love this gun! Plus it was my grandfather's, who I was never able to meet.

It being outlawed only means that "outlaws" have them, that doesn't mean you can't get one...

Of course the AR is nice, but that lever is awesome! I sure love the cowboy guns. :aok:

I want a Henry Big Boy something fierce. .45lc to match my big frame Vaquero.

I've already posted pics of our (my wife and my self... matching tac-how romantic huh?) Moss 500s.

I'll have to dig up some shots of my Ruger and her Springfield XD.

My nieghbor has a Marlin lever-action 44-70. Holy Christ what a kick! I love that thing.

Suprisingly enough though I have killed 2 deer with the Winchester, open sights & all.

Why is that suprising? 30-30s are great Deer guns. I bought my Whiny to go deer hunting in Nor. Cal.

It's not at all suprising to me, but many people think that you need to have a scope in order to kill deer/elk. Hell I've killed 3 deer with an old recurve bow (from the 40's also my grandfathers) with no sort of sights.

*For those who have no idea what I am talking about when I say recurve I mean that it is not a modern compound bow (One that has gears & "breakes down") nor am I talking about a crossbow*

Not mine but you get the idea
